I'm looking at the Floyd County1820 Census. Many of my direct decendents are MORRIS, POLLY, COMBS and probably MULLINS. I am originally from Perry County and researching roots in surrounding counties.
I am interested in Floyd County, KY because my ancestors settled there in the early 1800's. I am researching the CONLEY family and my search has led me to Floyd County.
Need information on David H. CONLEY, b. ca 1787, I believe that he is the David CONLEY that married on October 21, 1813 in Floyd County, Kentucky on April 14, 1834 to Mahalia ROBERSON. David H. CONLEY gave consent, Who were the parents of David H. CONLEY and where was he born? When did he die? I am trying to prove that these two men are my 2nd and 3rd great-grandfathers.
I read about your Society in the Kentucky Explorer. My Kentucky family surnames are BOWMAN (BAUGHMAN), BROOKS, COOK, COPE, HAGINS, HAMMAN, HARBOUR, HERIN, LINVILLE, MOORE, MULLINS, POLLY, SPURLOCK, STAMPER. Most came from Virginia. few from North Carolina, settling eventually in Breathitt County, KY. Time frame, mid 1700's to late 1800's. I am interested in family histories, early county histories that have these surnames or describe their lifestyle and about where they lived.

I am searching for a marriage record between Virgel FLETCHER and Lula ROW ORrowe. Her parents are Charles or Charley ROW and Jenny PITTS. Married around 1917 or 1918. In 1900 Census they are in Floyd County and died in 1920. I also need birth records of their children Walter b. 1918 and Jessie b. 1919. Family names I am searching are PITTS, ROWE, CLEMONS.

I had a lot of families to live in Floyd County. They went to other parts of Kentucky. I am very interested in a group called the Blind Tigers. All that I know is that they were a group of men my Great-Grandfather, William L. OSBORNE being one, had pushed boats running from Prestonsburg to Whitehouse. SIMPKINS, OSBORN, OSBORNE, FLANNERY, WIRMAN, WALLEN, WALDEN,BOGGS, ONEY, TYREE, TYRA, TIREY, BUTNER, PINKSTON, CAUDILL, CAUDLE, COTTLE, LANGHAM are the families I tie to. William OSBORNE, parents John STEPHEN and Miranda WIREMAN OSBORNE, m. 1840 in Floyd County, went to Missouri and back to Morgan County, KY. 1850 and 1860. Maranda, I have been told that she was the daughter of Jacon and Nancy Oney WIREMAN. She was not recorded in the WIREMANbook. John STEPHENS was the son of John and Elizabeth FLANNERY OSBORNE. I have been told both yes and no that Elizabeth being the daughter of Elder John and Phoebe BOGGS FLANNERY. Nancy ONEY was the daughter of Benjamin and Sa;;y ALLEN/ALLEY ONEY. I have two TYREE lines,they were in Madison, Mercer, Estill, Powell, Wolfe, Breathitt, Lee Co. KY.could tie to Floyd County, KY. My SIMPKINSwere in Breathitt, Wolfe, Lee, Morgan, Floyd Co., Ky and Logan Co. WV. My WALLEN tree was in Estill Co., KY (1850) tie to Hawkins CO. TN. William OSBORNE was a Conf. Soldier. Floyd County, KY is where he signed up and his brother Johnson OSBORNE, this same OSBORNE group were from Wolfe and Menifee Co., KY
I am interested in the following families of the Big Sandy area: CAUDILL, FITZPATRICK, ROBINSON.
My interest lies mainly with Thomas PRESTON b. 1799 in Lexington, KY, son of Anne PRESTON. She married Henry PINSON and died in 1831, Thomas was her only child. I am interested in who Ann's parents were and who Thomas's father was. Thomas and Henry's niece, Anna PINSON married and moved to what is now Wayne Co., WV. They had 16 children, 5 sons that fought in the war between the states, Goodwin, Henry, Alex, Dennis and William
