Milk Shakes
Ingredients:
1 pint any flavor ice cream 1/2-3/4 cup milk |
Place ice cream and mlik in a blender container. Cover and blend till
smooth. Serve immediately. Makes about 2 servings.
Cookie Milk Shakes: Prepare as above, except use vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Add 4 chocolate sandwich cookies, or 4 chocolate covered graham crackers to blended mix. Cover and blend till cookies are course and chopped. Candy Milk Shakes: Prepare as above, except use vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Add 6 bite size chocolate covered peanut butter cups or 1 broken up candy bar to blended mix. Cover and blend till candy is coarsely chopped. Cinnamon apple Milk Shakes: Prepare as above, except use vanilla ice cream. Add 1 small cut up apple and 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon to blender with milk. Peanut Butter Milk Shakes Prepare as above, except use vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Add 2 tbsp. peanut butter to blender container with milk. |
Slushy Punch
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar 2 ripe med. bananas (cut up) 3 cups unsweetened pineapple juice 1 6oz. can frozen, concentrated orange juice 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 1-liter bottle carbonated water, or lemon-lime beverage, chilled. |
Stir together sugar and 2 3/4 cups water till sugar dissolves. In a
blender container combine bananas, half the pineapple juice, and the orange
juice from concentrate. Cover, blend till smooth. Add to sugar mix. Stir
in remaining pineapple and lemon juice. Transfer to a 13x9x2 inch baking
pan. Freeze for several hours till firm.
To serve, let mixture stand at room temp. for 20-30 min. To form slush, scrape a large spoon across the frozen mix. Spoon into a punch bowl. Slowly pour carbonated water down the side. Stir gently to mix. Makes 23 servings. |
Lime Daiquiris
Ingredients:
1 6oz. can limeade or lemonade concentrate 2/3 cup rum 20-24 ice cubes (about 2 cups) |
In a blender container combine imeade or lemonade concentrate and rum.
Cover and blend till smooth. With blender running, add ice cubes, one at
a time, through opening in lid. Blend till slushy. Makes 6 servings.
Berry & Banana: Prepare as above, except use half a 6 oz. can frozen juice. Then add 1 10 oz. pkg. frozen red raspberries or sliced strwaberries. 1 ripe med. banana, cut up. and if desired, 1/3 cup sifted pwdered sugar. makes 8 Peach: Prepare as above, except use half of the frozen juice. Then add 3 ripe med. peaches, peeled, pitted, and cut up. Or 1 1/2 cups canned peaches (unsweetened). Makes 8 servings. |
