Hamburger Pie
Ingredients:
10 oz. pkg. frozen green beans, corn, or peas 1 lb. ground beef 1/2 cup chopped onion 11 oz. can condensed tomato or cheddar cheese soup 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed Pkg. instant potatoes (enough for 4 servings) |
Run cold water over veggies to separate. In a large skillet cook meat and onion till meat is brown. Drain. Stir veggies and 1/4 cup water into skillet. Cook, covered, 5-10 min. or till tender. Stir in soup, worcestershire sauce, thyme, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Transfer to a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Prepare potatoes according to package directions. Drop in mounds onto hot mix. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes or till hot. Serves 4. |
Spaghetti Pie
Ingredients:
4 oz. spaghetti 1 beaten egg 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese 1 tbsp. butter 1 cup cream style cottage cheese 1 beaten egg 1/2 lb. ground beef or italian sausage 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup chopped green pepper 3/4 cup spaghetti sauce 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese |
For crust cook spaghetti according to pkg. directions. Drain. Combine
1 egg, parmesan cheese, and butter. Stir in hot spaghetti. Press mix evenly
into bottom and up sides of a 9 inch pie plate. Drain cottage cheese; combine
with 1 egg. Spread over crust. Set aside. In a large skillet cook meat,
onion, and green pepper till meat is brown. Drain fat. Stir in spaghetti
sauce. Heat through. Spoon over cottage cheese mix. Bake at 350 for 20
min. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 5 min. Cut into wedges. Serves 4-5. |
Meat and Pasta Bake
Ingredients:
4 oz. small shell pasta or elbow macaroni 1 lb. ground beef 1/2 cup chopped onion 10 3/4 oz. can of condensed cream of onion or mushroom soup 1 cup shredded american cheese 8 oz. carton sour cream 1/4 cup milk 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce 3/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed 10 oz. pkg. frozen mixed veggies 1/4 cup crushed round crackers (7) |
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, and set aside.
In a large skillet cook meat and onion till meat is brown. Drain fat. Stir in soup, cheese, sour cream, milk, worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Stir in veggies and pasta. Transfer to a 2 quart casserole. Cover and bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Stir, sprinkle with crushed crackers. Bake uncovered for 5-10 minutes more or till heated through. |
