OSU FOALS OF 1997
The foals produced in Horse Production class at Oregon State University. Professor Dr. Holton
From left to right. Pony mare, Flax and pony foal Discovery, Dizzy for short,
Quarter horse mare Hibernia and foal, Claudia Monet.
Discovery was born before she was expected. No one saw the birth of this energitic filly. Therefore she was named Discovery.
Claudia Monet was named for her hind sock which resembles a paint stroke gone mad. It turns out that last years foal was named Claude by his student breeders, but due to a tragic accident was put down. His sister Claudia will produce footsteps for the both of them.
Both fillies are alive and well living in Oregon.
INKY

CAMAS MEADOWS HORSE TRIALS, YELM WASHINGTON
Stadium phase-clear round
Fast through the trees
Right before the water jump. Anasazi can see the next part and she does not like it at all.
The last jump in the cross country course. Now we can see the finish line. What a BIG JUMP, it feels like we are flying!!!!
Anasazi and I were second after the dressage phase. During the stadium round we went clear (even though I almost made a wrong turn because I was sooo excited.) Cross Country was the most fun. I was yelling and encouraging her the whole time. Everyone must have thought I was CRAZY!!! Through the cross country course Anasazi and I had time faults because it took us a few trys to get into the water jump. Anasazi didn't want to get her feet wet. After the water we hurried to get through to the finish line and make up some lost time.
All and all we had an EXCELLENT time and I cannot wait to go again.
Anasazi (Show name Gift of Grace-Barn name now Grace) is living with her new owner Melanie Falicoff in Oregon. CONGRATULATIONS MELANIE AND BEST OF LUCK TO YOU AND GRACE!
