Welcome to my sunroom .This is where I keep house plants, building supplies for bird houses, feeders and just stuff.
This is a perfect room because I get a lot of good light which is so important for the plants to thrive and also for me to work on all my projects, and watch the birds.
As you can see, I am working on birdhouses for my little feathered friends to raise their families in. I can hardly wait each year until the babies hatch and grow big enough to come out to say, "Hello world, here we come". They are so sweet to watch as they flutter their wings and practice their take offs and landings.
I have always loved houseplants and I can't seem to collect enough of them. At one time I actually had over 100 potted plants in my home. I don't have as much room anymore, so I can plant as many as I want in my cyber garden, and the best thing is, I don't have to water them!!! I have a couple of them here but as time goes by will be adding more, and more, and, yes, you guessed it, MORE!!!!
If I had a room like this, I would spend most of my time in here just to get away from it all and relax. I would love to sit up here on the balcony and watch the birds eagerly fluttering around the feeders, the birdbath and the flowers in complete contentment on an otherwise frustrating day. But, since I don't have one yet, I will enjoy my cyber sunroom.
I love to watch the birds eagerly eating sunflower seeds right from the plants. As you can see, Kitty likes the birds, too!!!
I love butterflies and I had some beautiful butterflies visit my garden this summer. They are always a very welcome site. I have been trying to find plants that will survive our harsh, dry summer heat, that will attract butterflies to my garden.
My favorite of all the birds are the little hummingbirds. These precious little jewels of the air are a real treat during the summer.
I anxiously wait for all the birds that regularly come to visit my garden the year round. We have an abundance of finches in this area, American Goldfinches, House Finches and Purple Finches. They make the sweetest sounds.
Of course what would any yard be without dandilions? You know they are a good food source, a lot of folks have used them for many years to make dandilion wine and the greens are supposed to be good cooked with other wild greens. I have a lot of good memories helping Mom pick greens such as polk, lambs quarter and dock. Boy, you cook those down and season them with bacon grease and serve hot cornbread, you couldn't ask for anything better!!!!
I hope you have enjoyed your visit and that you will return soon. You never know what you might see hanging around my garden.
