Unfortunately,
it started snowing, and not only were we freezing, but the visibility
of the Grand Canyon was terrible...

So,
as the snow started coming down, we decided we had better get moving,
and we headed to Las Vegas...

We
stayed overnight in Las Vegas, then drove through Death Valley and spent
Christmas Eve in Lone Pine, with a magnificent view of Mt. Whitney. Now,
why don't I have pictures of that? I don't know, I'm still trying to figure
that one out. Then on Christmas Day we drove up 395 and stayed overnight
in Carson City, going through Lake tahoe on the 26th.

There
had been a lot of snow in Tahoe, and the drifts were 3-5 feet high...

Everyone
definitely got a thrill out of all the snow on the trip. After going through
Tahoe, I told them to say goodbye to snow for the rest of the trip...

This
may be the only picture of me in this series... That's right, driver and
picture-taker... Here I am with the most beautiful woman in the world...
