The Diary of Renee M Foster

What a warm, beautiful day. So far this spring/summer has not disappointed me. The skies are blue, the sun is shining, birds chirping, and a breeze like it's coming straight out of a blow dryer. It is a hot one. But that's ok. Summers here are not long enough so they at least need to be hot. We've been getting outside everyday to enjoy the weather. On these hot ones it's not until after 8pm usually and we either go for a walk or a bike ride.
Have you asked yourself yet who I am? Are you wondering why I am writing this? Well, I'm Renee of course and I'm writing this because, well, I want to. And, I want to share. If I can engage you for a brief moment in your day, then, I've done what I've set out to do. I need a place to voice my thoughts and feelings because I have many. Dr. Phil has his show, Oprah has her's, Dave Ramsey and Mary Hunt have their forums, this is mine. I'll keep it honest, I'll keep it real and I'll keep it about PG-13 or so.
I'm getting my new DVD recorder today. I'm so excited. I bought one about 2 years ago and got the service plan. I usually don't do it but I worked for the retailer so it was cheap and is coming in very handy now. My DH (dear husband - and he really is dear) is picking it up for me. I think we have to pay a little extra but only about $30 plus tax. It will be worth it. I think there is a 160GB hard drive on it and we can record to +/- DVD's. It plays mp3 also and I need that to listen to Dave Ramsey since I burned it in MP3 to get more on the CD. I don't like having to change CD's all the time. I really haven't evolved to the iPod yet. I don't listen to enough stuff to justify paying the price. Besides, why spend more when I can do what I need to with what I have.
I started to tell you about my DH. I really love him a lot. We've been together almost 16 years now. No one thought we would make it this far, but we did. We've had our moments but always stood strong together. I'm looking forward to spending the rest of my life with him. Speaking of him, I have to go, he's here with my DVD recorder. I'll let you know how it is.
