(This page is dedicated to all the wonderful people on my daily mailing. Thanks for allowing me to share a small part of your lives and thank you for sharing a large part of mine!)

Tailormaid’s Tales began 8 years ago as the result of an incident that turned out to be very humorous, but could have been tragic. It involved a port-o-potty, a tornado and one of our sub-tropical Florida thunderstorms. For months I was known as the "port-o-potty dodger". As I told the "tale" to several people, I realized the demand for a diversified Internet mailing that was appropriate for everyone.

Tailormaid's Tales has grown from a few close friends to a fairly large daily mailing now. Although I don't know most of the people on the mailing anymore, I find they are a wonderful group!

This is how it all began......

It happened during one of Florida's famous thunderstorms. A tornado touched down near the rural area where I lived. I had to ran an errand and was breathing a sigh of relief as I rounded the corner to drive down the road toward my home. There was construction in the area at that time. The storm was quite fierce with the wind howling and branches and debris flying around when suddenly, without warning, a large object flew across the road in front of my car! Braking and swerving to miss it, I thanked the Lord I was not hit! Then to my amazement, I realized that the large object was A FLYIN' PORT-O-POTTY!!!!

The humor just snow-balled from there. 1. What would the accident report have read? 2. Can you picture a newspaper story about it? 3. Would the insurance company pay for port-o-potty damage? 4. Good thing it was not occupied at the time! And last but not least was the many ways my Christian friends found to say "do-do" without using profanity! *smile*
