Babe

Th. Ch. Willies's Mahoganain Girl
(A representative of Am. Can. Ch. Delmar's Bet of Your Boots, a Ch. Keil's Dynasty's son in Thailand)
Her fine records within just five shows are:

1 Reserve Best of Breed, over the champions.
3 Challenge Certificates.( Equal to Winner Bitch in the AKC system.)
5 times first prize.
(FYI: To finish the championship in Thailand, a dog needs to get three Challenge Certificates(CC) from the different judges, thank to the rule of the AKU(the dog club of Japan) and the FCI ( another international dog club in Europe, regardless of the AKC in America and the KC in England.)

Before born, Babe had been anticipated so highly in the quality by me. Due to the planed breeding-program, by the genetic theories, in this litters, I expected the combination of qualities from several dogs I liked and put them in Babe's Pedigree. As a rule, it was supposed to get a big dog -with, a lot of substances in musculars, a very deep chest and a big front, and an attractive head-at least one puppy, and all of the babies should have been dark brindle with fleshy fancy, therefore. But, kind of sad, it was not!! In this litter, we got just two little girls, one brindle, one fawn(that's Babe) with general sizes of the heads. From my eyes, one was more compact than the other. Consequently, I picked Babe, the fawn one with the full white collar, and Willie chose the brindle girl.

God just played the trick to me again. Seven months later, the one I picked, came up with the longer body and the so-so head, and the full white collar had gone, leaving the white ring instead. When seeing Babe, Willie said "I told you. I told you....Pick the brindle. Pick the brindle but you didn't and then what....See? what you got. Get back to the brindle and please immediately give this fawn to some one else. Mr. Stubborn." And I said no to him. (One side I wanted to do what I was told; the other side, I wanted to continue keeping Babe because the following reasons, first, Willie made me humiliated and I wanted to prove I was right, not him. Second, I had been staying with this dog for seven months and there was something between us( I found it was LOVE!). Third, I still believed some desired genes were likely still in hers and should have shown back, although so slow!. And, eventually, I decided to keep her.) Everyone, even Ted, said Willie was right, and disagreed with me.

Since that day, I just kept my eyes and closely watched Babe. And you know? She didn't make me too upset or too hopeless. She was so nice and always showed that the only one she loved just me, not anyone else. (Although sometime she did something crazy...Ha Ha) Also, her head and her body're getting better and better( Just two or three months I guess after Ted and Willie told me). And I thought it was the time to corroborate my theory! I sent her to show. ... It was a big proof. Babe won the first in the Sweepstake, over both sexes. And she finished really shortly, within four shows, including getting the big ribbon of Reserve Best of Breed at the second show. As you can see, I'd like to say that Boxer is one of the hardest breed- something can change anytime, otherwise they would not be in the "Working" group. (It means you have to work with them.) Let see the others of my dogs..........
