WHEN WE THINK of persecution we often think back to the times of the Apostles or perhaps to the times of the Early Church when the Roman Empire was reeking havoc on Christians at that time. But to think of persecution as a thing of the past is a misguided notion. Persecution of the followers of Jesus Christ is alive and well in the present also. Believers and their families around the world have suffered torture, imprisonment, and even death for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
