The story so far.......

This is always the challenge,
to tell the story and to make it interesting....

I was born in 1968.... yes get those calculators out to work out my age....
my parents migrated from Italy so although born here, I have that good ole Italian blood running thru my veins.
When I started school, I didn't know a word of English, but had an eagerness to learn and quickly caught up with the other children. Then being the stubborn little thing I was, made my parents learn english as I refused to speak to them in Italian after that.

My Childhood was a little traumatic... like a lot of other kids I suppose. But I survived it all, Primary school, High School... and...*shudder* puberty and those rebellious teenage years! My family used to take us to Victor in the holidays, with other families. Now that used to be a lot of fun! We'd normally go with my auntie and unlce. I just can't imagine taking 3 young children for a week away...and there were 6 kids between the two families! Our parents must have gone crazy by the end of the week *lol*

When I was 7 my parents let me take piano lessons and although I hated it at the time, am so grateful for the ability to play now. I think musical talent is a gift within, BUT it must be nurtured the correct way. Over the years I've studied a few other instruments, and have taken singing lessons. Of all, my greatest love is to sing.

I matriculated in 1984.... oh so long ago , with Maths I, Maths II, Chemistry, Physics and English. Not bad for an arty type hey *lol*

I struggled to find a job, being unemployed for about 8 months. Why didn't I go to Uni or do some tertiary education?.... I didn't feel like it *lol* I really don't know, I think I'd just had enough of study and didn't have a clear direction which way I was to go. At one time I had it set in my mind that I was going to be a pyschiatrist....believe it or not.......

Well thru some luck, good or bad, you choose, I managed to get a job in the Telstra Cafeteria.
The work was hard, the hours weren't enough and the pay was crap. After a year of that, I finally got a proper job as a "sales clerk" in Telstra. Oh they were the good ole days *lol*.

And like the good italian girl I was, with no other expenses to worry about (apart from external maintenance....arherm), saved up lots of money so that I was able to...................

Go to Italy!!!!!

I went with my mum in 1989 and we were away for 2 months. I had the time of my life and learnt and experienced many new things!

The kids with
their cousin Anthony
In 1991, I got married and we had 2 beautiful children a few years later. Unfortunately the marriage didn't last, but I'm looking eagerly ahead :) I left work in 1994, a month before Sarah was born... and have been a domestic goddess ever since! *lol* There certainly were a few rough years in there after my son Joshua was born. He was constantly sick and spent most of his first 2 years in hospital. Thank God he is a completely normal and healthy boy now!

So, here I am, with the door wide open before me... what comes next?
