Know ye that I JACOB HILL of Perquimans Precinct and ELIZABETH my wife for and in consideration of the sum of sixty pounds to us in hand paid by THOMAS HOLLOWELL of the Place aforesaid the Receipt of which I do Hereby Acknowledge and ourselves to be therewith fully satisfied Contented and paid. Have Given Granted Bargained Sold Alienated Conveyed & Confirmed and by these Presents freely Clearly and Absolutely Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Convey & Confirm to the said THOMAS HOLLOWELL to him his Heirs & Assigns forever A Certain Messeuage or part of A tract of land Lying and being on the Northern Side of Perquimans River Beginning at the Mouth of the Wolf Pit Branch thence up the Branch to the head of the same thence a Short Course to the Back line thence along the Said line to A line of Blazed Trees thence along the Same to RICHARD CHEASTON his line thence along his line to the first station Being in Contents by Estimation one Hundred Acres be the same more or less which Said land the greatest part of it was Surveyed and Patented for our Father WILLIAM BOGUE Dec. Dated 22 November 1714 and the Remaining part Purchased by our Said Father of THOMAS BAGLEY as by the said Deed on Record may more fully Appear and the whole of the above Premises was Willed to by the said WILLIAM BOGUE to his Daughter ELIZABETH HILL as by the said Will May Appear. To Have and to Hold the Granted and Bargained Premises with all and Singular the Appurtenances unto him the said THOMAS HOLLOWELL to him his Heirs & Assigns forever in as full and ample manner to all intents and purposes as the lands in Albemarle County are Generally Granted or Intended by the Patent from the lords Proprietors and we the said JACOB HILL & ELIZABETH do further covenant and bind ourselves our heirs Executors Admnrs. and every of them firmly by these Presents to Warrant and forever Defend the Said THOMAS HOLLOWELL his heirs Executors Admrs or Assigns in quiet and Peaceable Possession of all and Singular the said Granted and Bargained Premises against the lawfull claim of any Person or Persons whatsoever. To Have and to Hold the Aforesaid Tract of land or Plantation with all & Singular the Houses out Houses orchards fencing Meadows ___ profits Privileges & Appurtenances to the Same Belonging or appertaining unto him the said JOSEPH RATLIFF his Heirs & assigns forever And I the said BENJM. NEWBY for myself my Heirs Executors Admrs Do Covenant Promise Grant & agree to & with the said THOMAS RATLIFF his Heirs & assigns in Manner & form following (that is to say) that at the time of the ensealing & delivery of these Presents & am the true sole & lawfull owner of all the aforesaid Granted Premises & Stand lawfully Seized & possessed of the same in mine own proper Right of a Good perfect & Indefeazable Estate of Inheritance in fee simple having in myself good right full Power & lawfull authority to sell & dispose of the same in Manner as Aforesaid And that the said JOSEPH RATLIFF or his Heirs & assigns shall & May from time to time and at all times forever hereafter have hold use occupy possess & enjoy all the afore Granted Premises with their & every of their appurtenances without any Manner of Let Suit Trouble molestation or Interruption of any person or Person Whatsoever none Claiming or that shall or May lay any Claim Title Challenge or Demand to the Same or any part thereof by from or under we my Heirs Exers &c us or either of us In Witness Whereof I the said BENJM. Virginia SS} Know all men by these presents that I CHRISTOPHER JACKSON of the County of Nancimund in VA do for me and in my name and stead give and grant unto my trusty and well beloved friend NICHOLAS STALLING full power to acknowledge unto JOHN HOLLOWELL of North Carolina a certain deed for land devised to the said JOHN HOLLOWELL bearing date with these presents given under my hand this 28th October 1741. CHRISTOPHER JACKSON. Sealed & delivered in presence of ELIAS STALLINGS JUNR., WILLIAM PRICE. Perquimans County January Court 1741 Present his majesties Justices. This may certify that the above power of attorney from CHRISTOPHER JACKSON to NICHOLAS STALLINGS was proved in open court by the oath of ELIAS STALLINGS on motion was ordered to be Registered. An accordingly was Registered in the Registers office of Perquimans County the 21st of June 1742. (Perquimans Co., NC Deed Book D, No. 53, pp. 110-111).

To all People to whom these presents Shall come Greeting in our Lord God Everlasting Know yee that I EDWARD OUTLAW of the precinct of Bertie County planter for and in consideration of the Sum of Two hundred & fifty four Pounds Current money of this province to me in hand paid before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof by THOMAS HOLLOWELL of Northampton County planter the receipt whereof I Do hereby acknowledge have given, granted, Bargained, Sold, Alliened, Enfeoffed, Released, Conveyed, and Confirmed and by these presents Doe fully freely Clearly and Absolutely give, grant, Bargain, Sell, Allign, Enfeoff Release Convey and Confirm unto him the said THOMAS HOLLOWELL his heirs and assigns forever all that my Certain Plantation & Tract of Land that my Father gave me Scituate Lying and being in Bertie County aforesd. on the South West Side of the Flatt Swamp Beginning at a pine in the Flatt Swamp then South to a white Oak a corner tree of JOEL SANDERS thence Along A Line of New Markt trees to a Black Oak Another of the said SANDERS' Corners thence Along the Old Line to the Flat Swamp So up the Flatt Swamp to the first Station, Containing by Estimation Three Hundred & Twenty Acres be the Same more or Less Together with all and Singular the Woods underwoods waters and Water Courses and all and Singular the appurtces to the said plantation and tract of Land belonging To Have & to Hold the said plantation and tract of Land with all the appurtces thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said THOMAS HOLLOWELL his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only Sole use benefit and behoof forever and I the said EDWARD OUTLAW at the time of the Ensealing and Delivery here of Do Avouch my Self to be the true Sole and Lawfull Owner of the said prebargained and Sold Land and premises & apputces and that the said Land is freely and Clearly Acquitted Exonerated and Discharged of and from all and all manner of Incumbrances of what Nature and kind soever and I the Said EDWD. OUTLAW Do Covenant and agree for my Self my heirs Exrs. and Admrs. to warrant and forever Defend the said plantation and tract of Land with the premises & appurtces there unto belonging & appertaining unto him the said THOS. HOLLOWELL his heirs and assigns forever against the Lawfull Claims and Demands of all Persons whatsoever Claiming any Right title or Interest there unto or to any part or parcell thereof. To all people to whome these presents shall come I WILLIAM MOOR & EDWARD MOOR of Bartie County in the Province of North Carolina Send Greeting know ye that we the sd WILLIAM MOOR and EDWARD MOOR for and in Consideration of the sum of Twenty Pounds Current money of Virginia to us in Hand Paid before the Ensealing and Delivering hereof by PETER WEST of the County and Province aforesd the Benefit whereof we do hereby Acknowledge and Our Selves to be therewith fully satisfied & Contented & paid Have given granted Bargained sold sett over & Confirmed and by these presents do fully & freely & absolutely give grant bargain sell sett over & confirm unto him the said PETER WEST his heirs & assigns forever a Certain Tenement Tract or parcel of Land Known by the Name of Punkhill containing by Estimation one Hundred & fifty acres be the same more or Less Lying & Being in Bartie County and province of North Carolina beginning at a White Oak Running a Southerly Course to a pine then along a row of Marked trees to a pine then along a Line of Marked trees to the Corner of three pines then to the first Station. To Have and to Hold the sd granted & Bargained Premises with all the appurtenances privileges and Profits to the same belonging thereunto free from all mortgages & Incumbrances Together with all Houses Orchards fencing Timbers & trees thereon & all other Liberties privileges & profits therein & thereon Contained or in any ways appertaining to him the sd PETER WEST his heirs & assigns forever to his & their only proper use benefit & Behoof forever & We the said WILLIAM MOORE & EDWARD MOORE for our Selves our heirs Exrs & Admns. Deliver and promise and grant to the sd PETER WEST his heirs & assigns that before the Ensealing hereof we are the true sole & lawfull owners of the above Bargained premises & are Lawfully Seized & possessed of the same on our own proper Right as a good Perfect & absolute Estate of Inheritance in Fee Simple and Have in our Selves good and full power & Lawfull Authority to bargain & sell the said Granted premises in manner as above said furthermore we the sd WILLIAM MOORE & EDWARD MOORE for our selves our heirs Execs. & Adms. Do Covenant & Engage the above Devised premises to him the sd PETER WEST his heirs & assigns forever against the Lawfull claims or Demands of any Person or Persons now and forever hereafter Do Warrant Secure & Defend and MARY MOORE the wife of the said WILLIAM MOORE Doth by these presents freely willingly give yield up and Surrender all the Right of Dower ____ ____ & unto the above Devised premises unto the said PETER WEST his heirs and Assigns forever. To all Christian People to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that I GEORGE DOWNING in the County of Edgecomb in the province of North Carolina for value received by me the sd DOWNING in Hand before the Ensealing hereof of THOS. HOWELL of Northampton County in the province afsd the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge myself fully satisfyed and contained thereof of every Part and Parcel thereof do exonerate requitt & discharge the sd THOMAS HOWELL his Heirs Exrs & Admrs forever by these presents have given granted bargained sold aliened conveyed and confirmed and by these Presents do freely and Fully and absolutely give grant bargain Sell Alien Convey & Confirm unto the said THOMAS HOLLOWELL his Heirs and Assigns forever one certain Messuage and Tract of Land Situate Lying and being in Northampton County in the Province of North Carolina butted and bounded beginning at a Pine one of SIZEMOREs Corner Trees thence along the said Line N 44 then W 196 pole to a Pine in the said Line then South 31 Wt. 100 pole to a Pine then S 44 E 200 pole to a red Oak in WILLIAM BRASWELLs Line then along the Said Line N 66 E 40 pole to a red Oak one of the sd BRASWELLs corner Trees then North 27 E 120 pole to a white oak then N 36 W 20 to a gum in SIZEMOREs Line thence along the said Line to the First Station. To Have and to Hold the sd Granted and bargained Premises with all the appurtenances Priviledges and Commodities to the same belonging in any wise appurtaining to him the sd THOS. HOLLOWELL his Heirs and Assigns forever to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof forever and I the said GEORGE DOWNING for me my heirs & Exrs and Admins do covenant Promise and grant to & with the sd THOS. HOLLOWELL his Heirs and Assigns that before the Ensealing hereof I am the true sole and lawfull owner of the above bargained Premises and am Lawfully seized and possessed of the same in mine own proper right as a good perfect and absolute Estate of Inheritance and have in myself a good right as above & that the sd THOS. HOLLOWELL forever hereafter by nature of these Presents Lawfully peaceably & truely have hold use occupy possess & enjoy the sd Devised and bargained Premises with the appurtenances free and Clear and freely & clearly acquitted exonerated and Discharged of any and all manner of Former Gifts Grants bargains Sales Leases Mortgages wills Entails Indentures Doweres Judgements Executions Incumberances and Troubles whatsoever excepting the Quit rents and I the sd GEORGE DOWNING do further Covenant & bind myself my Heirs Exrs and Admins firmly by these presents to warrant and Defend the sd THOMAS HOLLOWELL his Heirs and Assigns in Quiet and peaceable possession of all and Singular sd Granted Premises against any ___ and Lawfull Claim of any person or Persons whatsoever. To all Christian people to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that I WILLIAM HOLLOWELL of North Carolina in the County of Perquimans planter for & in consideration of the sum of one pound eight shillings & one penny current money of Virginia unto me in hand paid before the ensealing & delivery hereof by JOEL HOLLOWELL of the Province & County aforsd. the receipt hereof I do hereby acknowledge & myself therewith fully satisfied & contented & of any part & parcel thereof do exonerate acquit & discharge the said JOEL HOLLOWELL his heirs Exrs & adms forever by these presents have given granted bargained sold alienated conveyed & confirmed & by these presents do freely fully & absolutely give grant bargain sell alein convey & confirm unto the said JOEL HOLLOWELL hi heirs & assigns forever one certain messuage & tract of land Situate lying & being in the Province & County of Perquimans butted & bounded as followeth beginning at a Juniper standing in the mouth of a swamp Issuing out of the North East side of the River Percosen known by the name of the Juniper swamp thence up the stream of the said swamp to a Juniper tree thence S75 E to a water oak thence S60 E to a live oak in JAMES FIELDS line thence along the said line S50 W to a Gum FIELDS corner thence along the said line S46 E to a gum standing in the Cypress Swamp so down the stream of the said Swamp to a gum standing in the mouth of the said Swamp thence up the side of the River percoson bounding thereby to the first station. It being by estimation one hundred & thirty acres be the same more or less & it being part of a patent granted to the said HOLLOWELL for five hundred acres bearing date the 29th day of June 1748 To have & to hold the said granted & bargained premises with all the appurtenances priviledges & commodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said JOEL HOLLOWELL his heirs & assigns forever to his & their only proper use benefit & behoof forever & I the said WILLIAM HOLLOWELL for me my heirs Exrs & admrs do covenant promise & grant to & with ye said JOEL HOLLOWELL his heirs & assigns that before the ensealing hereof I am the true sole & lawful owner of the above bargained premises & am lawfully seized & possessed of the same in mine own proper right as a good perfect & absolute Estate of inheritance and have in myself good right full power & lawful authority to grant bargain sell convey & confirm the said bargained premises in manner as abovesaid & that the said JOEL HOLLOWELL his heirs & assigns shall & may from time to time & at all times forever thereto possess & enjoy the said devised & bargained premises with the appertenances free & clear & freely & clearly acquitted exonerated & discharged of & from all & all manner of former gifts grants bargains sales leases mortgages entails Indentures Dowries Judgements Exrs incumbrances & ___ whatsoever I ye said WILLIAM HOLLOWELL do further covenant & bind myself my heirs Exrs & admrs firmly by these presents to warrant & defend the said JOEL HOLLOWELL his heirs & assigns in quiet & peaceable possession of all & singular the said granted premises against any just & lawful claim of any person or persons whatsoever In witness whereof I the said WILLIAM HOLLOWELL have hereunto set my hand & seal the 16th day of July 1748. These may certify that the within deed of sale of land from WILLIAM HOLLOWELL to JOEL HOLLOWELL was duly acknowledged in open court on motion is ordered to be Registered. Registered in the Registers office of Perquimans County the 18th day of January 1748. (Perquimans Co., NC Deed Book E, pp. 203-204).

This Indenture made the 13th day of May in the 22d year of the Reign of our Sovn. Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Gt. Britain, France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and between [blank] of the County of Pasquotank in North Carolina, Planter of the one part and SAMUEL ETHERIDGE of the County of Norfolk in the Colony of Virginia Planter of the other part. Witnesseth, the said John Earl of Granville by the name, ___ and Title of the Knight ___ John Lord Carteret of the one part and JARVIS JONES of the other, the said Earl __ __ Consideration therein mentioned give and grant ratify and confirm unto the sd JARVIS JONES and his heirs ans assigns forever, a certain Tract of Land cont. Two hundred and thirty acrs by one conditional Deed the 20th day of last December and Signed, Sealed, and delivered by Col. EDWD. MOSELY & Col. ROBT. HALTON Power of attorney for the sd. Earl reference being thereunto had with other things & may morefully and at large appear. Now this Indenture witnesseth that c/w made in Consideration of the Sum of Ten pounds Virginia Curency to the sd JARVIS JONES in hand paid by the said SAMUEL ETHERIDGE at or before the ensealing or delivery of these presents the Right whereof he the sd JARVIS JONES doth hereby acknowledge; is ___ for and in Consideration of the Rents, ____, _____, Promises and agreement between the sd Earl and the sd JONES made ___ and contained ___ and on the part and Behalf of the sd SAML. ETHERIDGE, his Heirs and Assigns, to be ___ ___ ___, he the sd JARVIS JONES hath given granted bargained sold and confirmed And By these presents doth give grant bargain sell and confirm unto the sd SAML. ETHERIDGE his Heirs and assigns. Land, situate lying and being in the County of Pasquotank and Province of North Carolina Cont. 125 acres being part of the above mentioned 230 acres in part as afsd 125 acres, butted, bounded as followeth - Beginning at a white Oak MACOY and JOY's Corners, then N 40 22 Chains to a maple, thenn N 6 E 11-1/2 chains to a Gum, then N 44 E 19 chains to a Holley, then S42 E 23 chains to a Gum, then SWW 9 chains to ETHERIDGE's line, a gum, then S 35 W 34 chains to a gum, the S 64 E 21 Chains to a White Oak by a Cypress Branch, thence continuing on the sd Branch to the first Station White Oak as a part of afsd and Cont'g as afsd 125 acres of Land as afsd, together with all lands ways waters waterways profits considerations appurtenances hereditances whatsoever thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining in as large and ample manner as is from the sd Earl to the sd JONES did and, in that Deed from the sd Earl to the sd bearing date of the 20th of last December as above mentioned Except before Excepted unto the sd SAML. ETHERIDGE, his heirs and assigns forever yeilding and paying therefore yearly and every year unto the sd Earl his heirs and assigns five shillings proclamation money which is the rate of three shillings sterling money for every 100 days total __ at the three yrs. And the said Earl Deed to the said JONES mentioned and likewise ____, to __ and ___ the agreement therein contained and Promises therein contained and likewise except MCCOY and JOY's Patent taking part of the Land and likewise RICHD. OVERTON'sw Patent taking part thereof for life ___ of sd patent corner __- the former bounds which it is to be the sd ETHERIDGE's Loss if any happen therby of the sd JARVIS JONES for himself his heirs, the said messuage or Tennant of Promise and every part thereof against him and his heirs to the sd SAMUEL ETHERIDGE and his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. HOLLOWELL, Deas'd lying & being in Bertie County afsd on the South West Side of Flat Swamp beginning at a pine in the Flatt Swamp then South to a White Oak & Corner Tree of GILSTRAP WILLIAMS, thence East along the Said WILLIAMS' Line to a ___ Black Oak of the Said WILLIAMS' Line, the North __ West 320 poles to a pine Then South 30 West to the first Station Containing by Estimation Three Hundred and Twenty Acres be the same more or less Together with all and Singular the appurtenances to the sd Plantation and Tract of Land belonging; To have and to hold the said Plantation & Tract of Lan with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the sd PAUL PENDER his heirs and assigns for Ever to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof for Ever and I the said ABSOLUM HOLLOWELL at the time of the Ensealing & Delivery hereof Do Avouch my Self to be the true & Lawfull owner of the said prebargained and sold Land primises and appurtenances and that the Sold Land is free from all in Incumberances Quitrents and morgagements only Exempted. And I the said ABSOLUM HOLLOWELL do Covenant and agree for my Self my heirs Exrs & Admrs to Warrt. and for Ever Defend the Said Plantation and Tract of Land with the primises and appurtenances thereunto belonging and appertaining unto him the sd PAUL PENDER his heirs and assigns for Ever against the Lawfull Claims and Demands of all persons whatsoever Claiming any Right Title or Interest thereunto or to any part or parcell thereof In Witness whereof I the sd ABSOLUM HOLLOWELL Have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this 7th Day of June AnnD. 1750. This Indenture made the 26th day of March 1751 and in the 24th year of the Reign of our Sovrn. Lord George the Second By the Grace of God of Gr. Britain France & Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith & Between JARVIS JONES of the County of Pasquotank in North Carolina Planter of the one part & RICHARD NICKINS of the County of Currituck & Province afsd Tailor of the other part. Witnesseth that as well c/oe and in Consideration of the Sum of Twelve Pounds & Ten Shillings Virginia Currency to the said JARVIS JONES in hand paid by the said RICHARD NICKINS at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents; the Receipt whereof the said JARVIS JONES doth hereby acknowledge as altofore and in Consideration of the ___ ___ Exceptions Provisions & Agreements herein after mentioned reviewed and contained and by and on the part and Behalf of the said RICHARD NICKINS his heirs and assigns to be paid performed ___ and profits, he the said JARVIS JONES hath given granted bargained sold and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell & confirm unto the said RICHD. NICKINS his heirs and assigns forever all the piece and parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Pasquotank & Province afsd and lying __ So. Side of the Great Swamp beginning at a Holley by the Road Side thence by a line of marked Trees to a Maple in the flat Swamp to the line of the Grant from the Earl of Granville to the said JONES thence ___ that Line to the Great Swamp Bridge thence __ the middle of the Raod to the first Station Holley ___ ___ of Land, Swamp being part of a large Tract contg. 615 acres & by the deed of Grant of the Earl of Granville to the said JONES bearing date the 20th day of December in the year of our Lord 1748 Reference being thereto had will more at large appear and the ___ Acres of Land as afsd being part as afsd all which premises together with the appurtenances & hereditances whatsoever thereunto belonging as in every wise appertaining together with all profits in as large and ample manner as from the Earl of Granville to the said JONES and excepting the ___ Covenant Exceptions Promises and Agreement between the Earl of Granville and the said JONES that by and on the part and behalf of the Said RICHD. NICKINS his Heirs and assigns to be paid performed ___ and kept then and in such cases the sd JARVIS JONES for himself and his heirs the said messuage or piece of land & swamp as afsd bounded against him & his heirs and against every other person and persons whatsoever to the said RICHARD NICKINS his Heirs and assigns the premises and Exceptions shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. April Court 1751. Present the majesty's Justice. These may certify that a Deed of Sale for Land from JARVIS JONES to RICHD. NICKINS was acknowledged in open court in due form of law. This Indenture made the fourth day of August 1750 between ABSOLOM HOLLOWEL & MARY his wife of Northampton County in the province of North Carolina of the one part & ABRAHAM BAGGOT of the same County of the other part Witnesseth that they the sd ABSOLOM HOLLOWELL & MARY his Wife for & in consideration of the sum of Sixteen pounds procclamation Money to them in hand paid by the said ABRAHAM BAGGOT at or before the Sealing & Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof they hereby acknowledge hath given Granted Bargained & sold & by these presents do give grant Bargain and Sell unto him the said ABRAHAM BAGGOT his Heirs & assigns one peace & parcel of Land Situate & lying & Being in No.Ampton County between Catawisky & Uraha Swamps Containing by Estimation one Hundred and fifty Acres be the same more or less & is bounded as followeth viz; beginning at a White Oak in ISRAEL CAMPBELLs line running by a line of market trees to a pine in the patent line then along the sd line to a White Oak in JAMES BOYTs line then along his line to a pine Standing in the sd line belonging to ELIZABETH PICKET then along PICKETs line to a corner to a White Gum in ISRAEL CAMPBELs line then along his line to the first Station. To have & to hold the sd piece or parcel of Land with all woods & waterways with profits commodities & appertances thereunto belonging unto him the said ABRAHAM BAGGOT to the singular use & behoof to him the said ABRAHAM BAGGOT his Heirs & assigns for ever & the sd ABSOLOM HOLLOWELL & MARY his wife for them selves their Heirs Ecrs & Admrs do covenant Grant & agree to & with the sd ABRAHAM BAGGOT his Heirs & assigns that they have in them good right full power & lawful Authority to grant Bargain & sell the said parcel of land & premises in manner & form afd; & that the same now is & so shall for ever herafter be & ___ unto the said ABRAHAM BAGGOT his Heirs & assigns free & clear. I freely & clearly exonerate & discharge & from all former gifts Grants Bargains Sales Feoff Bills Bonds Judgements & all incumbrances whatsoever & lastly that they the said ABSOLOM HOLLOWELL & MARY his wife shall & will from time to time & at ___ for ever & hereafter on the reasonable request of the sd ABRAHAM BAGGOT his Heirs & assigns & at his & their ___ cost & charges make do acknowledge & execute all & every other act & acts thing & things Deed & ___ ___ & more perfect conveying & assuring the sd parcel of Land a foresaid unto him the said ABRAHAM BAGGOT his Heirs & assigns as by his or their council Learned in the Law shall be named ___ ____. This Indenture made the first day of September in the year of our Lord 1758 between ABSOLOM HOLLOWELL & MARY his wife of No.Ampton County in the province of No. Carolina of the one part & SIMON WEST of the same County of the second part. Witnesseth; that they the said ABSOLOM HOLLOWELL & MARY his Wife for & in consideration of the sum of Sixteen pounds procolamation Money to them in hand paid at or before ye Sealing & Delivery of these presents by the said SIMON WEST the receipt whereof they Hereby acknowledge Hath given, granted, Bargained & Sold & by these presents do Give grant Bargain and Sell unto him the said SIMON WEST his Heirs & assigns for ever, one Tract or parcel of Land Situate in the County aforesaid between Catawesky & ahoskey Swamps containing by estimation one Hundred acres be the same more or Less & is part of a tract of a Tract of Land that THOMAS HOLLOWELL purchased of GEORGE DOWNING Bounded as followeth Beginning at a live Oak in JOHN SKREWs line thence a long a line of marked Trees to a red Oak in ISREAL CAMBELLs Line then a long CAMBELLs line to a pine HOLLOWELLs corner tree then along sd. HOLLOWELL Line to JOHN SKREWs line to a red Oak then along SKREWs line to ye first Station. To have and to Hold the said Tract & parcel of land with all Woods Waters Gardens Orchards profits commodities & appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the sd. SIMON WEST his Heirs & assigns to the only proper use & ___ of him the sd. SIMON WEST his Heirs & assigns for ever & they the sd. ABSOLOM HOLLOWELL & MARY his wife for themselves & their Heirs Executors & Asmrs. do covenant Grant & agree to & with the said SIMON WEST his Heirs & assigns that they have in themselves good right full power & Lawful Authority to grant Bargain & Sell the said Tract or Parcell of Land in manner & form aforesaid & that the said Land & every part thereof now is & so shall forever __ ___ be & remain unto him the said SIMON WEST his Heirs & assigns free & clean & freely & clearly exonerated discharged of & from all former & other Gifts Grants Bargains Sales entails Wills Bills Bonds Judgements and all other incumbrances whatsoever & lastly that they shall & will from time to time & at all times hereafter on the reasonable request of the said SIMON WEST his Heirs & assigns & at his or their proper Cost & charges in the Law make us & execute all & every such other Act & acts thing & things deed or deeds for ye more perfect & better _____ & Conveying the said Tract or parcel of Land I promise unto the said SIMON WEST his Heirs & assigns forever as by him or their Council learned in the Law shall be devised advised or Required. This Indenture made the third day of January Anno Domini 1762 Between ABSOLOM HOLLOWELL & MARY his wife of No.ampton County in the province of No. Carolina wheelright of the one part and ROBERT PEELLE JUNIOR of the same County & province afd parties of the other part. Witnesseth that the said ABSOLOM HOLLOWELL & MARY his wife for & in consideration of the sum of Eighty three pounds Current Money of Virginia to them in hand paid at or before the ensealing & Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof they hereby Acknowledge & thereof & of every part and parcel thereof do acquit & Discharge him the said ROBERT PEELLE by these presents hath given granted Bargained & sold and by these presents doth give grant Bargain and sell unto him the said ROBERT PEELLE his Heirs & assigns for ever (that is to say) One mesuage & parcel of land Situate lying & being in the County of NoAmpton in the province aforesaid being part of a Patent formerly granted to GEORGE DOWNING bearing date October 30th 1735 as may more at large appear bounded as followeth beginning at a pine ISRAEL CAMPBELLs corner Tree thence by the said line to a red Oake NATHL HOWELLs corner tree; then along the said HOWELLs line between the sd land of HOWELLs tract of the same patent to a red Oake & corner tree in the patent line then along the line of the patent to a red Oak a corner tree in RICHARD BROWNRIGG's Oak Saplin JOHN DUKEs Corner Tree then along DUKEs line to a pine ABRAHAM BAGGOTs Corner then along his line to a Corner White Oak in ISRAEL CAMPBELLs line then along his line to the first Station Containing three hundred & Eighty two Acres be the same more or less. To have & to Hold the said parcel of land with all woods underwoods ways waters & springs of Water Houses Gardens Orchards Nurseries profits Commodities & advantages thereunto belonging to him the said ROBERT PEELLE his Heirs & assigns for ever; & the said ABSOLOM HOLLOWELL & MARY his wife for themselves and thier Heirs do Covenant ___________ th the said ROBERT PEELLE his Heirs & assigns that at the _____________ these presants they have in themselves good right full _________ give grant bargain sell & convey the parcel of land aforesaid unto him the said ROBERT PEELLE his Heirs & assigns in manner & form aforesaid; & the said parcel of land now is & so shall for ever hereafter be & remain unto the said ROBERT PEELLE his heirs & assigns free & clear & fully & clearly Exonerated & Discharged of & from all other Gifts grants Bargains Sales Uses Entailes Mortgages Bills Bonds Judgements Executions & all other incumberances whatsoever and totally the said ABSOLOM HOLLOWELL and MARY his Wife for themselves their Heirs &c do Covenant & agree to & with the said ROBERT PEELLE his Heirs & assigns from time to time & at all times hereafter on the reasonable request & at the proper cost further & other act & acts deed & deeds for the more perfect Assureing & Conveying the said land and all & Singular the premises above mentioned unto the said ROBERT PEELLE his Heirs or assigns for ever as by his or their Council learned in the law can be devised Advised or Required.
