Know all men by these Presents that I MILES HOLLEWELL of the State of North Carolina and county of Martin have for the sum of one Hundred and fifty Dollars to me in hand Paid by JAMES BENNETT, JUNR. of said county & State the Receipt whereof I the MILES HOLLEWELL do hereby acknowlege myself fully Satisfied and Paid have Bargained and sold unto the sd. JAMES BENNETT, JUNR. one Lot or half acres of Land in the town of Williamston N. Carolina on the north side of the Maine Street a front Lot ......unto MILES HOLLOWELL for myself...warrant and defend the said JAMES BENNETT ....nd assigns forever from the Lawful ... of any...ver in... whereof I the sd HOLLEWELL have hereunto ....and Seal this twenty sixth day of December one thousand..(eight hundred)...and three. STEWART's line thence south sixty east two hundred and .. the.. hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less to have and to hold the ... said tract or Parcel of Land ...CHARLES NICHOLSON his heirs and assigns forever and I the said MILES HOLLOWELL do for my self my heirs Admors...and defend the above tract or Parcell of Land unto the said CHARLES NICHOLSON his heirs ...against the Lawful claim or Demand of any Person or Persons whatever with an Exception only of my ... HOLLOWELL deed out of the above mentioned tracts or Parcell of Land ... he sold to the said NICHOLSON... the said MILES HOLLOWELL have here unto set my hand and seal this sixth day of March one...(thousand eight)..hundred and Eleven. This indenture made this Twelveth day of April one thousand Eight Hundred and fourteen between BRAMBLEY HOLLOWELL of the County of Wayne & State of North Carolina of the one part and her four sons to wit: JONATHAN, SILAS, EPHRAIM and WILLIE HOLLOWELL of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said BRAMBLEY HOLLOWELL in will for and in consideration of the natural Love and affection which She hath & _ unto the Sons JONATHAN, SILAS, EPHRAIM and WILLIE HOLLOWELL her Sons hath Gave Granted and Confirmed & by these presents doth Give Grant & Confirm unto the Sd. JONATHAN, SILAS, EPHRAIM, and WILLIE HOLLOWELL all my tract or parcel of Land Situate Lying & being in the County & State aforesaid & on the South Side of Great Contentney Creek beginning at a Poste oak on the branch of Contentney Creek JOHN SHELTONs Corner and runs his line W. 107 poles to a pine his Corner then with his other line S. 108 poles to pine his Corner then S 17 Wt. 500 poles to a black jack down by the Side of PEACOCKs olde _ then Wt. 226 poles to a white oake on Joys branch then down the run of Sd. branch on Swamp as it meanders to a fence the olde beginning Corner then Still down the Sd branch then with WOODARDs line Et. 64 poles to a Hickory his Corner then with his other line N to STANTONs _ _ corner then with STANTONs meanders to the mouth thereof then down Contentany Creek as it meanders to the first Station Containing Seven hundred and ninety eight acres it being the lands left the above named BRAMBLY HOLLOWELL by will of EPHRAIM DANIEL Snr. deceased To have & to hold the Sd parcel or tract of Land unto the Sd. JONATHAN, SILAS, EPHRAIM and WILLIE HOLLOWELL to them their heirs & assigns forever & the said BRAMBLEY HOLLOWELL for her self her heirs Executors Administrators do & will warrant & forever defend the above named land to the aforesd JONATHAN, SILAS, EPHRAIM and WILLIE HOLLOWELL to them their heirs & assigns forever except my lifetime interest in the manner Plantation to be _ to me with and In _ during my natural life & when my Son JONATHAN HOLLOWELL will arive to the age of twenty one years then the above land to be equally divided between JONATHAN, SILAS, EPHRAIM & WILLIE HOLLOWELL and JONATHAN when twenty one years old to receive one half of his land and then as they arive to the age of twenty one to receive one half of their share of Land so that I am not interrupted in the manner plantation if either of my above named sons should die before the arrive to the age of twenty one years olde to receive their parts their land to return to the Survivors of my above named Sons to be equally divided in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day & date above written.
