This indenture made this 29th of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty-six between DAVID JEFFREYS of the state of Tennessee and county of Haywood of the one part and JONATHAN HOLLOWELL of the same state and county of Henderson of the other part, witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred and seventy dollars to me in hand paid by the said JONATHAN HOLLOWELL the receipt hereof I do hereby acknowledge myself fully satisfied, content and paid; have given, granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain and sell and confirm unto the said JONATHAN HOLLOWELL a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in said county of Haywood and state aforesaid, it being a part of a six hundred and forty acre tract entered in the name of said DAVID JEFFREYS, beginning on the range line dividing three and four at a white oak and black oak marked G. D. from thence runs west one hundred and sixty poles across the creek to a beech the south west corner of said six hundred and forty acre tract thence north two hundred and forty-one poles to a stake post oakd and black oak pointers, thence south eighty-two and a half east one hundred and nineteen and a half poles to the bluff of the creek to a stake dogwood black oak and white oak pointers thence with the meanders of the creek to a stake and pointers on the rnage line thence south one hundred and ninety-four poles to the beginning containing by estimation two hundred and twenty-four acres be the same more or less to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land to him the said JONATHAN HOLLOWELL his heirs and assigns forever and I the said DAVID JEFFREYS for myself my heirs, executors or adm'r. do and will forever warrant and defend the wrights and title of said land unto him the said HOLLOWELL his heirs, exrs. or adms. forever against the lawful claim or claims of any person or persons whatever. BOWEN REYNOLDS to BRAMBLEY HOLLOWELL 1 tract of land in Haywood County in Dist. 10, Range 4, Sect. 8, Contg. 100 acres. Registered December 2nd, 1833. This Indenture made this 31st day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred & twenty eight between BOWEN REYNOLDS of the State of Tennessee & County of Haywood of the one part & BRAMBLEY HOLLOWELL of the same State & County aforesaid of the other part, Witness that for & in consideeration of the sum of one thousand Dollars to me in hand paid by the BRAMBLEY HOLLOWELL the receipt hereof I do hereby acknowledge myself fully satisfied content and paid have given, granted bargained & sold, and by these presents do bargain and sell & confirm unto the said BRAMBLEY HOLLOWELL, a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in said County and State aforesaid, containing One hundred acres, lying in the tenth district in Haywood County, in Range four, Section Eight, & bounded as follows, to wit; Beginning a Black Oak marked J M the north East corner of a Entry Number Seven Hundred & four in the name of GEORGE DOHERTY for 5000 acres, on the South boundary line of Entry Number 319 in the name of L. PERSON for 1000 acres, running thence East with said PERSON's South boundary line one hundred poles to a maple, said PERSON's South East corner, thence South one hundred & sixty poles to a Black Oak, thence west One hundred poles to a Stake a two white oak pointes on said DOHERTY East boundary line, thence north said line one hundred & sixty pole to the Beginning, containing by estimation One hundred acres, be the same more or less, to have & to hold the said tract or parcel of Land to her the said BRAMBLEY HOLLOWELL her heirs & assigns for ever. And I the said BOWEN REYNOLDS for myself, my heirs, exrs. or admrs. do and will forever warrant and defend the right and title of said land unto her the said HOLLOWELL her heirs Exors or admrs forever against the lawful claim or claims of any person or persons whatever. JOHN T. TURNER to ELIZABETH DICKERSON & SARAH ROGERS 1 tract of Land in the 10th Surveyors District 4th Range, & 8th Section on the waters of the Big Hatchy River in Haywood County contg. 205 acres Registered July 20th 1831. This Indenture made this 23rd day of November One thousand eight hundred & thirty, between JOHN T. TURNER of the State of Tennessee & County of Madison of the one part, and ELIZABETH DICKERSON & SARAH ROGERS of the County of Haywood and State aforesaid, of the other part. Witnesseth, that the sd. J. T. TURNER (for & in consideration of the sum of six hundred and fifteen Dollars in hand paid by the sd. E. DICKISON & S. ROGERS the rect. whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained sold & confirmed unto the sd. E. DICKERSON & sd. S. ROGERS, their heirs & assigns forever, a certain tract or parcel of Land situate being & lying in the tenth Surveyors District fourth Range and Eighth Section on the waters of Hatchy River in Haywood Cty. Ten: (it being a part of a tract purchased by SIMON TURNER from WILLIAM POLK, containing agreeable to Deed fourteen hundred & eighty one & one fourth acres) and bounded as follows, beginning at a black oak (the N. W. corner of a tract sold by sd. TURNER to SILAS HOLLOWELL of 30 acres) running west one hundred and forty three & 7/10 poles to a Stake, black & white oak pointers, the S. W. corner of sd. HOLLOWELL's Survey, thence North two hundred twenty eight & 1/4 poles to the beginning, containing two hundred and five acres, to have and to hold the aforesaid Land with all & singular the rights, profits, em___ & appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining, to the only proper use or behoof of them the sd. E. DICKERSON & sd. S. ROGERS, their heirs & assigns and the sd. J. T. TURNER, for himself, his heirs, Executors & administrators do covenant and agree with the sd. E. DICKERSON & S. ROGERS, their heirs & assigns that the before recited land and bargained premises he will warrant and forever defend against the right, title interest or claim of all & every person whatsoever. State of Tennessee, Haywood County, County Court, March Term 1831. BRITAIN H. SANDERS, Clerk of Haywood County Court, do hereby certify that at the above term this Deed of Conveyance produced in open Court, and the execution thereof duly acknowledged by JOHN T. TURNER to be his act and deed for the purposes therein contained and ordered to be certified for registration. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand at office this 6th of July 1831. JOHN T. TURNER to SILAS HOLOWELL 1 tract of Land, in the 10th Surveyor's District, 4th Range, & 8th Section, on the waters of Big Hatchy River, contg. 306 acres. Registered July 20th 1831. This Indenture made this 23rd day of November One thousand eight hundred and thirty between JOHN T. TURNER of the State of Tennessee and County of Madison of the one part, and SILAS HOLOWELL of the State & County aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the sd. J. T. TURNER (for & in consideration of the sum of Nine hundred & eighteen Dollars & -- Cents in hand paid by the said HOLOWELL the rect. whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given, granted, bargained, sold, & confirmed unto the sd. HOLOWELL his heirs & assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate being & lying in the tenth Surveyor's District, fourth Range & Eighth Section on the waters of Big Hatchy River containing by Survey three hundred and six acres (it being a part of a tract purchased by SIMON TURNER from WILLIAM POLK containing agreeable to Deed fourteen hundred and eighty one and one fourth acres) and bounded as follows (to wit) beginning at a Stake two black Gum pointers, running North eleven & one fourth poles to a Stake, thence East eleven poles to a Stake, white & black oak pointers, thence North One hundred & twelve poles to a Stake, poplar & white oak pointers, thence north one hundred & five poles to a Stake, black & white oak pointers, thence west two hundred and nine & 3/10 poles to a black oak, thence South two hundred twenty eight & one fourth poles to a Stake, black & white oak pointers, thence East two hundred and nine and three tenth poles to the beginning - to have and to hold the aforesaid land with all & singular the rights profits enablements & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, to the only proper use and behoof of him the said SILAS HOLOWELL, his heirs & assigns forever - and the said JOHN T. TURNER for himself, his heirs, Executors & administrators do covenant and agree with the sd. SILAS HOLOWELL, his heirs & assigns that the above recited land and bargained premises he will warrant & forever defend against the right, title, interest, or claim of all & every person whatsoever -In witness whereof the sd. J. T. TURNER hath hereunto set his hand & seal the day & date above written. Ack. JOHN T. TURNER. Assigned, sealed, & delivered in the presence of WESTON SIMONS. State of Tennessee, Haywood County. County Court, March term 1831. BRITAIN H. JONATHAN HOLLOWELL to MICAJAH T. PURNELL 1 tract of land in Haywood County Containing 224, 1 Road and 16 poles being a part of a 640 acre tract of land Entered in the name of DAVID JEFFREYS Registered December 17, 1835. This Indenture made this 27th of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty two between JONATHAN HOLLOWELL of the State of Tennessee & County of Haywood of the one part and MICAJAH T. PURNELL of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by the sd. MICAJAH T. PURNELL the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge & have given granted bargained and sold and confirmed unto the said MICAJAH T. PURNELL a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in said County and State aforesaid It being a part of a six hundred & forty acre tract entered in the name of DAVID JEFFREYS. Beginning on the range line dividing three & four at a white oake and black oak marked G D fro thence west one hundred & sixty poles a cross the creek to a beach the South west corner of said Six hundred and forty acre tract thence north two hundred and forty one poles to a stake post oake & Black Oak pointers thence South Eighty tow & a half East one hundred & nineteen & a half poles to the bluff of the creek to a stake ___ black oak & white oak pointers thence with the meanders of the Creek to a stake and pointers on the range line Two hundred and Twenty four acres one road & sixteen poles to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land to him the said MICAJAH T. PURNELL his heirs and assigns forever and I the said JONATHAN HOLLOWELL for my self my heirs Exters Admrs. or assigns do and will for Ever warrant and defend the right and title of said land unto him the said PURNELL his heirs Extrs. SILAS HOLLOWELL to DANIEL J. GUTHRIE 1 tract of Land in Dist. 10, Range 4, Sect. 8, Contg. 153 acres, on the waters of Hatchy River, part of a tract purchased by sd. HOLLOWELL from JNO. J. TURNER. Registered December 3, 1834. This Indenture made this 15th day of February one thousand Eight hundred and thirty four between SILAS HOLLOWELL of the State of Tennessee and County of Haywood of the one part and DANIEL J. GUTHERY of the State and County aforesd. of the other part. Witnesseth that the said S. HOLLOWELL for and in consideration of the sum of five Hundred and forty Dollars \ cents in hand paid by the Sd. \ GUTHRIE the rect. whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained sold and confirmed unto the sd. GUTHRIE his heirs or assigns for__ a certain tract or parcel of land Situate being & lying in the Tenth Surveyor District fourth range & Eighth Section on the waters of Big Hatchy River containing by Survey one hundred & fifty three acres more or less it being a part of a tract purchased by the sd. S. HOLLOWELL from JOHN T. TURNER bounded as follows (viz) beginning at the South west corner on a Stake black oak pointer running East one hundred and seven poles to a poplar thence North Two hundred and twenty Eight & 1/4 poles to a maple thence west one hundred and Seven poles to a black oak, thence South to the beginning: To have and to hold the aforesaid land with all & singular the rights profits emoluments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to the only proper use & behoof of him the sd. GUTHRIE his heirs or assigns forever and the sd. SILAS HOLLOWELL for himself his heirs Executors & administrators do covenant and agree with the sd. DANIEL J. GUTHERY his heirs and assigns that the before cited land & bargained premises he will warrant & forever defend against the right title interest or claim of all & every person whatsoever. In witness whereof the sd. SILAS HOLLOWELL hath hereunto set his hand & seal this the day and date above written. Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of SAMUEL BROWN, BARNES DICKINSON. SILAS HOLLOWELL. State of Tennessee, Haywood County. June Term 1834. Then was the within deed produced in open court and acknowledged by SILAS HOLLOWELL to be his act and deed for purposes contained. W. D. S. HOLLOWELL to SAMUEL BROWN 1 tract of land in Haywood County in the 10th District containing one hundred acres. This Indenture made this 12th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & thirty four Between WILLIE D. S. HOLLOWELL of the State of Tennessee & County of Fayette of the one part & SAMUEL BROWN of the Same State & county of Haywood of the other part. Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the sum of Four hundred dollars to me in hand paid, by the said BROWN the receipt thereof I do hereby acknowledge myself fully Satisfied Content & paid have given granted bargained & sold & by these presents do bargain Sell confirm unto the sd. SAMUEL BROWN a certain track or parcel of Land lying & being in the said County & State aforesaid containing one hundred acres lying in the Tenth district in Haywood County in Range four Section Eight & bounded as follows, Wit, Beginning at a Black Oak Marked J.M. The north East corner of a entry No. 704 in the name of DOHERTY for 5000 acres on the south Boundary line of entry No, 319 in the name of L. PERSON for 1000 acres running thence east with said PERSON's South Boundary line one hundred poles to a Maple Sd. PERSON's South east corner thence south one hundred & sixty Poles to a Black oak thence west one hundred to a Stake a two white oake Pointers on Sd. DOHERTY's east Boundary line, thence south sd line one hundred & Sixty poles to the Beginning. Containing by estimation one hundred acres be the same more or less. To Have & To Hold the said tract or parcel of land to him the said SAMUEL BROWN his heirs & assigns forever & the said WILLIE D. S. HOLLOWELL for my self my heirs Exrs. or Amdrs. do & will forever warrant & defend the right & title of Sd. Land to him the said BROWN his heirs Exrs. & admrs. forever against the lawful claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever. SILAS HOLLOWELL to DANIEL J. GUTHERY, 1 tract of land in Haywood County in district 10, range 4 & Section 8, Contng. 153 acres on the waters of Big Hatchie River. Registered April 3, 1835. This Indenture made this 7th day of January one thousand eight hundred and thirty five between SILAS HOLLOWELL of the State of Tennessee and County of Haywood of the one part And DANIEL H. GUTHERY of the State and County aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said S. HOLLOWELL for and in consideration of the sum of Six hundred and twelve dollars in hand paid by the said GUTHERY the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained sold and confirmed unto the sd. GUTHERY his heirs or assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate, being and lying in the Tenth Surveyor District fourth range & eighth Section on the waters of Big Hatchy river Containing by survey one hundred fifty three acres more or less, it being a part of a tract purchased by the said S. HOLLOWELL from JOHN T. TURNER Bounded as follows (viz). Beginning at the south west corner on a poplar running east one hundred and Seven poles to a stake two black gum pointers thence north eleven and one fourth poles to a stake thence east eleven poles to a stake white & Black oak pointers, Thence north one hudnred and twelve poles to a stake black gum elm & ash pointers, Thence west eleven poles to a stake poplar & white oak pointers, Thence north one hundred and five poles to a stake black & white oak pointers, thence west one hundred and seven poles to a maple, Thence south to the beginning: To have and To hold the aforesaid land with all and singular the rights profits emoluments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use of him the said GUTHERY his heirs and assigns that the before recited land and bargained premises he will forever warrant and defend against the right title interest or claim of all and every person whatsoever.
