Info about me!

Where did I live...

roswell.gif

I was born May 7th in the wonderful city of Marseilles, France. Both my parents passed away and I was placed in an Orphanage.

I was finally adopted and was flown to America to meet my new family, when I was about three years old. My new parents picked me up in Waco, Texas. I don't remember this but my mother did and she liked to tell this story to all her friends and mine (how embarrassing). Not to embarrace myself, I will give you a little bit of story; When my new parents picked me up at the airport in Waco, Texas, my hair was very, very, very, very, very long. Because they had asked for a boy, they pulled my pants down in the middle of the airport to make sure they had gotten what they wanted. Of course, I passed the test!!!!

After the airport scene, we then went on to El Paso, Texas. I lived in El Paso for awhile and then moved to Highrolls, New Mexico, where I went to first grade. I remember that real well because that is when I got my first kiss and it was the same year that John F. Kennedy was assassinated.

After first grade, we moved to Roswell, New Mexico, where I lived for the next 12 years.

Of all the lessons I learned while growing up, this is the most remembered; My adopted father instilled in to me that if I wanted something, I had to work for it, so at age eight I started mowing peoples yards. I probably mowed every yard in Roswell! I did pretty well cause I went through three motorcycles and three cars before graduating high school (I won't elaborate on why I went through so many motorcycles and cars).

I graduated High School at Robert H. Goddard Sr. High School and after graduating I was offered an ROTC Scholarship but turned it down because I was in so much love with a young lady (had been my girlfriend since second grade). Her father was a policeman so you get the idea of what I had in mind. Instead of being a city or county police officer, I wanted to serve my country and be a policeman that way. So, I joined the Army.

Well, I spent the next 22 years of my life serving my country. I've been everywhere, seen everything, and done everything. I finally retired from the Army and settled down in Georgia and now have started a new career with a major airline. Boy what a great bunch of people. I'm looking forward to the next 22 years.

Here is another fact about me. When I started with this airline, I joined the Care Team and responded to the Swissair Flt 111 crash. Here is a memorable item from that experience.

Well, again a new chapter in my life has begun. I have left my job for bigger and better one. Wow, I can't believe I've been part of the Airline business for eight years. How time flies! It's been fun, it's been real, and in most parts, real fun, but it's time to move on.

I'll get back and let you know where and what I am doing!!!!
