Growing Up (Includes Me Too)!!
Here's Sharon and Jelly just a little bit older.
Here you see Jelly and Sharon dressed in
their Easter finest and proud of their baskets of colored eggs.
As they grew a little older, there was
great camaraderie in the back yard during summer's hot afternoons.
Sharon enjoying another Easter -- or is it
the same one?
Here I am again, showing off two of my offspring, Jelly and Sharon, standing
in our yard where we lived at that time, in Richland Hills, Texas
These portray Sharon, Athena and
Jelly as they were growing older.
And here's another one of Jelly.
Ooops, I mean Cherre'. By that
time, she was beginning to insist
we use her real name.
And last here I am holding the painting I did of Star Trek
(The Original Cast, of course). You see, my girls wanted to buy a Star Trek poster
to put in their bedroom. I was a little tight with monetary matters in those
days and didn't want to splurge for a poster, so I offered to paint them one.
Well, I was a Trekie, too (and still am). The painting was done with pastels
and it was the first time I had ever used that medium. When I finished it,
the girls still did not have a poster for their bedroom. I liked it so well that
I hung it in our living room and refused to let the girls have it.
