Various early spellings include:

The earliest ancestor for the Bronson family was John Brownson of Earl's Colne,
County Essex, England.
He married Joan - maiden name unknown. They had the following children, baptized at Earl's Colne:

The last Bronson in our line is:

Amos descends from the above Roger Brownson and Mary Underwood in this order: John Bronson & Frances Hills: Sergeant Isaac Bronson & Mary Root: Lieutenant John Bronson & Mary Hickox: John Bronson & Comfort Baldwin.
Phebe married Captain Joash Seymour 4 March 1773 in Plymouth, Litchfield Co, CT.
She married second (about 1803) Stephen Sanford. I am searching for information on Stephen.
