Gottlieb Wallrabenstein & Descendants


Gottlieb Wallrabenstein, (son of Gottlieb and Johanetta) was born October 21, 1842 in Nassau, Germany and came to the U.S. with his parents and siblings (including half brother Jacob Wallrabenstein) on July 1849. He died on December 16, 1929 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hartford and was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
He married:
Emelia Henriette Berg (listed as Augusta Emelie Henriette Berg on the Church marriage record) on April 2, 1877 in the Town of Polk.

They had the following children:

i. Carl Friedrich Wallrabenstein, born November 1, 1876; died September 20, 1877 in Ackerville. Death was due to diarrhea and cramps and was buried in Faith Cemetery in Ackerville (no stone found). On the Church death record, he was noted at the adopted child of Gottlieb Wallrabenstein.

ii. Wilhemina Wallrabenstein, born April 4, 1878 in Erin, Town of Erin, Washington County, WI. She was baptized Katharina Wilhelmine Wallrabenstein. She died on March 17, 1954 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hartford.
She married:
George Greener on August 18, 1900 at St. John's Church, Town of Polk.

iii. Jacob Christian Wallrabenstein, born February 12, 1880, in the Town of Polk. He died August 12, 1950 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hartford.
He married first:
Helen Hoefs on June 24, 1909 in the Town of Erin.
He married second:
Elizabeth Lenhardt, on June 16, 1916 at Mr. & Mrs. Fred Lenhardt's residence in Hartford.

iv. Ernestine Emilie Wallrabenstein, born June 21, 1883 in Ackerville, WI; died July 11, 1954 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hartford.
She married:
Fred Endres on June 15, 1901 at St. John's Church in the Town of Polk.

v. Augusta Wallrabenstein, born May 21, 1888 in the Town of Polk; died December 29, 1961 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hartford.
She married first:
Charles Melius on March 13, 1906 at the Walrabanstein home in the Town of Erin.
She married second:
William Fritz on December 7, 1947.

Third Generations

The Children of Wilhelmina Wallrabenstein & George Greener:

1. Freda Greener, died in Rubicon, Dodge County, WI. Married Lester Heimerl.
2. Hattie Emilie Greener, born June 3, 1902; died in Hartford. She married Howard Gergen and had two children: Rosemary Gergen and Robert Gergen.
Rosemary Gergen married Kenneth William Wolf at St. Kilian's Church in Hartford. Their children include: Michael Wolf, Gerard Wolf, Keith Wolf, Therese Wolf, Kristine Wolf, Kevin Wolf, Mary Wolf (Duehr), Joel Wolf, Lisa Wolf, Eric Wolf, and Darrin Wolf.
3. Edward Peter Lenhard Greener, born June 1, 1904; died October 22, 1904 from meningitis.
4. Louise Greener, born October 30, 1907; died July 12, 1993 in Beaver Dam, Dodge County, WI.
5. Ernst Charles August Greener, born July 22, 1908 in Cedar Creek, Town of Polk.
6. Mae Greener, born May 1, 1910 in Hartford, WI; died December 10, 1997 at the Hartford Care Center. On May 3, 1934, she married Francis "Happy" Heimerl at St. Kilian's Church, Hartford. He was the son of John Heimerl and Mary Hebert. They owned "Happy's Tavern" in Rubicon, Hwy 60 & P. Both are buried at St. John's Cemetery in Rubicon.
The children of Mae Greener and Francis Heimerl are: Diane Heimerl (Mortenson), Karen Heimerl (Halverson), Joseph Heimerl (West Bend), Mark Heimerl, and Thomas Heimerl.
7. George Greener, born January 26, 1914 in Cedar Creek, Town of Polk; died October 21, 1991 at Veteran's Hospital in Milwaukee. He married Gertrude Indermuehle in 1939 at St. John's UCC in Hartford. Their children are: Gerold Indermuehle Greener and Susan Greener (Charles Scharpf).
8. Minnie Greener, born August 12, 1916; died December 3, 1996 in Kouts, Porter, IN. She married Kenneth Day.

Children of Jacob & Helen:

1. Alice Wallrabenstein, born February 3, 1911 in the Town of Erin; died October 28, 1977 in Hartford Care Center. She married Norman Lepien on May 18, 1928 at St. John's Church in Town of Polk. They had one daughter Pearl Lepien who married Alfred Horst, Jr.

Child of Jacob and Elizabeth:

Marvin Wallrabenstein, born July 4, 1919; died March 23, 1920.

Children of Ernestine and Fred Endres:

1. Rosella Endres, born 1905, d. Richfield. She married George Aulenbacher. She is still alive and at a nursing home in West Bend, Wisconsin.
2. Florence Endres, born July 2, 1907 in the Town of Erin; died in Monches. She married Andrew Weber (son of Henry Weber)
3. Walter Christian Leonhardt Endres, born 1907/08; died April 7, 1918.
4. Orville Endres, born May 7, 1911; died April 5, 1978 in Hartford. Married Lorraine Katzfey. Buried at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Thompson.
5. Roland A. Endres, born October 16, 1913; died February 24, 1981 in West Bend.
6. Lillian Endres, born October 25, 1916. Married Aage Nielsen. Resided in Greenwood, WI.
