Notes for THOMAS CHRISTISON: Came to the US about 1850. Worked as a shoemaker in Waukesha and saved his money to bring his parents, brothers and sisters to the US. They arrived about 1853 and the story is when he received a letter that they had arrived in Milwaukee he went on foot to meet them and they all returned on foot to Vernon. Notes for MARGARET MILLAR: Mrs. McNaughton is a daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth (Parker) Miller born near Stewarton, Ayrshire, Scotland, and was a young lady of ninteen years when she came with her brothers and sisters to America. In the Miller family there were twelve children, six sons and six daughters.

In October 1919 she was diagnosed with tuberculosis and sent to a sanitarium in Stevens Point for 10 weeks and then to one in Wales, where she died after 6 weeks.
