The Tree and The Rock

Well, we've finally put the tree up and it's quite a sight to see... Sparkling lights that twinkle...yes, it is a lovely tree; But just what is Christmas to you and what do you like best? I'm sorry we've no presents, but just look at how we're blessed:

We've got one another though at times that's not much fun! We've got lots of problems and we'll solve them one by one. We've got trials and tribulations which is why we were sent here; To overcome with faith in God and never yield to fear!

We've got a house to live in though it's hardly ever neat; We've got food and we've got clothing and we've shoes upon our feet. The tree's an outward symbol of the love we feel inside, And it should remind us of the One from whom we cannot hide.

He came to light the path for us and fill our lives with love, We'll struggle, experience joy and pain and focus our sights above. We'll endure with faith and walk His way, one day to dwell with Him on high... His love to us and ours to Him are gifts one just can't buy.

So although it seems to earthly eyes that we've no presents here... If we'll be strong and keep our faith His presence willl ever be near. There's no need to wrap our gifts of love or put them beneath the tree; It can't be exchanged, can't be outgrown, only love is free.

So, when we take this tree down, will we put Him in storage too? Out of sight, out of mind, forget He's still here loving me and you? We've another year to stumble through, to sometimes fight tooth and nail, If we will but remember Him and always keep Him in our hearts,  we know we will not fail!
