Cemeteries:

Lawhon Springs is a rural community located in the Albert Nantz League survey on F.M. 619 some 12 miles from Elgin and 20 miles from Lexington, in northwestern Lee County. Located primary in Milam Co. then onto Williamson Co., before it became a permanent part of Lee County, Texas. In the same area two other communities closely tie into Lawhon Springs. It is impossible to speak of one without naming the others, which are Beaukiss and Siloam.

Donald W. Usry - 1913-2000 A private Masonic graveside service for Donald W. Usry, 87, of Decatur, was Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Venus Cemetery near Midlothian. Usry died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, in Decatur. Born Jan. 26, 1913, in West, he was retired from LTV and was married to Ruth Rogers who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Neal Usry and Maj. Donald James Usry. He is survived by a sister, Margaret Williamson, six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
