Hot Decorating Tips!

The hot decorating colors this year are: Purple, Sage, Mustard &
cream/tan. These colors are fun to work with and can brighten
up any room of your home. Birdhouses have become on of the most
popular collector's items and are fun to decorate for indoors or out.

Are you ready for Spring? I sure am! Come on inside and I will
share ideas on how to Create a Spring Garden in your Home.

~Candle Tips~

1. To help candles burn longer, remember to always clip the
wick before burning them. They won't burn as hot this way and
they will last longer.

2. You can use votive candles in your potpourri pots! Pull the metal
clip, that is holding the wick, out of the bottom of the candle and
it is ready to be melted in your potpourri pot. This is a great way
to fill a whole room with the fragrace you love.

Love has a locale here on earth & it is called
the HOME. "A home is knit together with the finest
threads of honor & respect, woven with nurture & care, held
securely in place by cords of love."

~Hanging Pictures & Shelves~

I think we all have tried to hang a picture or shelf that no
matter what you did, it hung uneven and you ended up with several
little holes in the wall.

Well I have a little secret that is going to help you and it is simple!
1. Put a small amount of toothpaste on each of the hangers on
the back of the picture or shelf
2. Eye where you are wanting to put it and then press it up
against the wall.
3. Pull it away from the wall and now you know where the nails
need to go and toothpaste is easy to clean off the wall.

Making sure it hangs level:
1. Put your first nail into the wall
2. Use a level and put the second nail in. (the toothpaste will
let you know where the hanger was on the picture)

This works every time and now you are free to rearrange your pictures
and shelves without the frustration of not being able to get them straight.

~Household Hints~

To keep your closets smelling fresh and clean you can:
1. Set an open box of scented fabric softener
sheets on a shelf
2. Hang a fragrance strip in the closet - or -
3. Fill an old hankie with potpourri and hang
it up (these work great in dresser drawers, too)
