I am a huge Celine fan. I fell in love with her singing after I heard her sing the song from Beauty and the Beast with Peabo Bryson. This picture is from US Live 97 with Celine.

Celine was born in 1968 about 50 miles east of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was the youngest of 14 children. Her parents were musical and so were her brothers and sisters. When she was 12,her mother, brother and herself composed a song and made into a demo. The demo was brought to the attention of Rene Angelil. When he listened, he knew she had a fantastic voice, so he mortgaged his home to finance her career. She then proceded in establishing herself as a singer with superstar status in Quebec. She learned English in 3 months at a language course. In 1983, she becamethe first Canandian to win a gold record in France. Her international breakthrough came when she recordedBeauty and the Beast with Peabo Bryson. That song became #1 in 11 countries and won the Academy Award and a Grammy. She married Rene Angelilin December of 1994. Here she is arriving for her marriage.She had planned for a large, lavish wedding which it was.
