Will dated Jan. 18, 1841. Probated Feb. 2, 1841 at Jackson County Indiana.
He was also named in the will of his father Benjamin Crane dated July 15,
1809. Probated June 8, 1813 at Montgomery County N. Y.

Pioneer Ohio Newspapers; Vol. #2 Wed. 25 Feb. 1801 #86. Ohio township
supervisors of highways were John Kitchell, John White and William Cherry.
Viewers of enclosures were Jonas Crane, Thomas Howe and George Criss. Auditors
of accounts were Jonas Crane, Isaac Mills and Caleb Hayes. Franklin township
overseers of the poor are William Crain and Asa Richardson. Auditors of
supervisers of accounts are Joseph Parks, Sr., Joseph Crane and James Brady.

No. #277. Jonas Crane living in White water, Hamilton County Ohio. 23 miles
out of Cincinnati, Ohio offers his land, including part of Harrison, Ohio for
sale.
Jackson County Indiana Court records; 26 April 1820. A post office was
established at Frishlies Mill (now Rockford) by Congress and they appointed
Jonas Crane as the first postmaster.
At the May term of the Board of Commissioners, 1818, Jonas Crane was
licensed to keep tavern at a "County Stand." Noted in the Seymour Weekley
Times. Jackson County Indiana.
