Eli Reeves was born around 1775, Prince William Co., VA, son of Asa and Sarah (LAMBERT) Reeves. Died 21, May 1825, Brown Co., Ohio. Married 23, Jan. 1791, Mason Co., KY to Sarah Ann REDMAN, born 31, Jan. 1772, VA, dt. of Daniel and Sarah (NEVILLE) Redman. Died 21, Feb. 1848, Rush Co., IN.

Last Will and Testament of Daniel Reeves

State of Indiana - County of Hancock - dated 23, Jan. 1874: I Daniel Reeves a farmer of dispasing mind and memory having about eight years ago made a will bequeathing to my son Noah Reeves at the death of myself and wife Nancy Reeves all of the property both real and personal of which I might die seized of upon the condition that said Noah should live with us and provide for us comfortable support of myself and wife and family and pay to each of my other children therein named the sum of One hundred dollars and said Noah having failed and refused to provide for the necessary wants of myself and wife and failed to pay part of said children the 100$ and having paid 300$ myself to said children and said Noah having breaked me and his mother with neglect and ____ cruel manner in abusive language to both of us, I destroyed said Will with both hands. I hereby revoke said will and all other wills made or pretended to be made by me and make this my last Will and testament. Item 1st I will and bequesth that my dear wife Nancy shall have the use control and disposal of all personal property and the use and control of all Real Estate of which I may die seized during her natural life if she survives me. Item 2nd At the death of myself and my dear wife I will bequeath that my children shall inherit my Real and Personal Estate each one to have an equal share and the child or children of my sons on or daugher now dead or may die before the demise of myself or wife to inherit the fathers or mothers equal share except that I will that as my son Noah has received in personal property and rents of my farm all I intend him have of my estate he is not to share in the same after the death of myself and wife but my estate to be divided as aforesaid amongist my other heirs or their survivors as aforesaid. I appoint my dear brother Elijah Reeves as the Executor of this will.

Witness my hand and seal this 23rd day of January AD 1874.
