I have solved the problem of why the three eldest sons of James and Elizabeth Greer was stated in the census as being born in KY.

Where they were living, in what is today Stewart Co,TN, but at the time the children was born
it was NORTH of the Walker line which would make it be in KY
The present line of TN now includes that area of KY

George Greer born 1794 at this date it was Logan Co,KY
John P Greer born 1796 at this date it was Christian Co,KY
William Greer born 1797 at this date it was Livingston Co,KY
