The End Of An Era

My generation called the Water Street Bridge the "New Bridge." It was on this bridge that I recieved my first kiss from the boy who became my beloved husband for thirty eight years.

"The Water Street Bridge, or as more recently referred to as the "blue bridge" was laid to rest on Saturday, April 10, 1999 at 6:30 a.m. to make way for a newly planned bridge."

The bridge picture and demolition information were provided through the courtesy of Jay Anna Ellis, Librarian at Logan High School. Be sure to visit the Logan High School Web Site after your visit here.
