François Truchon
My great grandfather, François Truchon, was known as Frank. Born in Matane and
baptized at Saint Jerôme Church, he was the sixth of eleven children born to Zoë
Imbault and Ephraim Léveillé dit Truchon. As a young man, Frank came to New Hampshire
where he worked for the railroad. On September 12, 1892 he
married Marie Roy (or King) the daughter of Basile Roy, in
Concord, New Hampshire. Frank and Marie lived in the Concord
area for many years. They were parents of six children-a boy and five girls. Around
the year 1920, Frank's children left New Hampshire and came to live in Connecticut.
Eventually, Frank moved to Connecticut as well. Frank died in Fairfield, while visiting
his son's home. He is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Concord.
