TweakUI

TweakUI is a little settings window that allows you to fix

a few problems you might have on your system without messing around in the Registry.

You can also fine tune your mouse settings along with other goodies. Like restoreing a number

of settings back to there original default settings without haveing to reinstall all of windows 95 or 98.

If, for some reason, your copy of Windows 98 didn't come with a CD,

or your Windows 98 CD doesn't include TweakUI,

you can download TweakUI. the Windows 98 version of TweakUI.

For Windows 95, the Windows 95 power toys

has TweakUI at the Microsoft's web site;

Note that you shouldn't use the Windows 95-version of TweakUI on Windows 98.

TweakUI for Windows 98 is right on the CD,

Put in your CD into the drive. Look in the

\tools\reskit\powertoy\ folder - right click on tweakui.inf and select Install to install it on your system.

How to run TweakUI.

You will find it in control panel as an Icon after you have installed it on your system.

Double click the icon to run it.

1. Click on the arrow to the right untill you see a tab called Paranoia.

2.Click on the Paranoia tab.

In the area Covering your tracks, check the box next to Clear document history at start up.

3. If you use Internet Explorer as a web browser, check the box next to Clear Internet History at log on.

4. Click Apply.

Have Fun with the rest of it.

Just configure what ever you want with all the different tabs.
