Well it wasn't actually an official trip, it was more like a quick weekend getaway. Todd was in San Jose at the end of May for work.  He was there for the entire week at the PTC office. Heather flew down (gotta love those frequent flyer miles!) on Friday afternoon and our trip was started.  We visited Stanford University's beautiful campus and went up to San Francisco on Friday.  In San Francisco we bummed around the Fisherman's Warf for a while and took a fairy ride through San Francisco Bay.  We took some pictures of Alcatraz Island, the cityscape and of course the famous Golden Gate Bridge.  We then went in search of the giant redwoods that California is so famous for, but the park was closed. On Saturday packed up the car and drove south along the coast.  We stopped at Monteray Bay and went to the aquarium there. Then we went on the 17 Mile Drive near the Pebble Beach Golf Course.  Todd was in heaven when we walked by the course and actually bought something in the Pro-shop!  As we drove along the coast, the sea was angry that day! After being marveled by all of God's creations, we decided to go to the Mt. Carmel Mission and attend Mass.  Then we returned to the Monteray Bay area and ate a wonderful seafood dinner. Sunday morning came all too soon. Our flight
was in the early afternoon, so we slept in and then headed off to the airport
for our flight home.  It was a very quick trip, but a nice break from
our daily schedules and a fantastic weekend together!
