Wanted: Fourth Day Rector
My one-year term as Fourth Day Rector is drawing to a close November 30, so time is growing short to find a new Rector. While I’d love to stay on for another term, other obligations make that impossible. I know we’d all hate to see the Ultreya go dormant again, just when things are starting to pick back up. I ask you to prayerfully consider taking on this important job. The work load isn’t very much, mainly just to line up speakers and such for Ultreya meetings, do up a newsletter or reminder postcards, and make sure our food and beverage palanca gets to the Summit on Cursillo weekends. If you’re interested or would like more information, please contact me at 336/789-3739 or e-mail me at tremain@surry.net. I plan to continue maintaining our Website for the foreseeable future after my term as Fourth Day Rector ends.
New Application Forms
The Secretariat has released new versions of the team and candidate application forms. These show dates for Cursillo weekends scheduled through 2003. Please discard any existing application forms you might have in your files. The new forms are available for download at the N.C. Cursillo Website, which is accessible under the ‘Links’ section of our own Website at www.geocities.com/trin_episcopal/ultreya.htm.
Items for Prodigals
We’re still collecting personal hygeine items for the Prodigals, a residential treatment program for people struggling with substance abuse, as a thank-you to St. Paul’s for allowing us to use their facilities. If you would like to doneate soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc., bring it to the an Ultreya meeting and Julie Goodin will see that it gets where it needs to go.
Cursillo #86
Web Page
One item not yet on the page that I would like to include is a listing of reunion groups in our Ultreya. This would be an invaluable resource for area cursillistas, especially new ones, who are looking for a group to plug into. Please let me know the meeting day, time, location, and a contact name and number. If you have ideas for other information that would be useful to include or link to the page, please let me know.
Newsletters via E-mail
New E-mail Address
Planning for Cursillo #86 is already under way. It will be held at the Summit November 8-11. If you are considering sponosring a candidate, please get their application in as quickly as possible. Space is filling up!
The Winston-Salem Ultreya now has its own Web Page! You can find this newsletter and other pertinent information there, including links to the diocesan Cursillo Website and an online reunion group, at www.geocities.com/trin_episcopal/ultreya.html.
Are you an e-mail user? Do you find it easier to keep up with electronic data on your computer than paper on your desk? Would you prefer to receive this newsletter via e-mail? To save on mailing costs, it would be great to migrate as much of the Ultreya’s mailing list as possible to e-mail. If you would like to receive this newsletter electronically, please e-mail me at tremain@surry.net.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, my e-mail address, etpowell@usa.net, has been deactivated, so please e-mail me at tremain@surry.net instead.
