Weepy Eye is caused by the inflammation of the conjunctiva. This problem is common in breeds with bulldog-like heads. It is usually caused by a blocked duct between the lower eye lid and nasal area. Usually the rabbit with weepy eye will have a history of respiratory infections. Some symptoms can be, matted fur below or around the eye, or a discharge from the eye. Weepy Eye can be usually cured by using an eye ointment for two to three days, applying the ointment two to four times a day.
