This Bunn's for Fun

This Bunn's for Fun

Come on in and browse a bit! Wow Can you believe I am finally updating my page after several years of being lazy! I have had the same information on here since the Jurassic age, and felt it was more than over due for a face lift! I hope you will like the new page, and please feel free to sign the Guestbook at the bottom!

This is a much Younger Me
Time and gravity have caught up like they do for all of us!

My name is Susan. I live in Northern Minnesota, (God's country) And it is a good thing he has a sense of humor! It is a great place to live with the mosquito being our state bird. We have two seasons here, winter and road construction. But that is ok...I own a coat and it keeps the rif raf out of my way.

If you wonder why I titled this page "This bunn's for fun", well that is my fun...I raise, Judge, and show Rabbits, among my menagerie of critters which includes Chinchillas, African Dormice, and 2 dogs. I currently have Havanas, and Thriantas!!! I share my barn with my Niece Kirstin. She has her own rabbitry "We Leave Tracks Rabbitry" and she has her own breeds. She does quite well with them. She has Himilayans, and a few left over French Lops. She did very well with her Frenchies for several years including taking Best of Breed at the National Convention in Rhode Island.

I am an American Rabbit Breeders Association licensed Judge, and get the chance to travel all over the country to shows. I try to drive to every show, which gives me the chance to see our beautiful land! (you can't see much from 30,000 feet) I have been a Judge for about 8 years now and look forward to every show I get hired for. By driving, I can sometimes help other breeders aquire new stock from different areas by transporting rabbits from one place to another.

This is Xcalibur... a gift from God and sharp as heck!!!
At not quite 4 months old he was BOSV Chocolate Havana at the 2002 ARBA National Convention!

Rainbow's Boomer (BOS Silver Fox from 2000 National convention)
I no longer raise Silver Fox or New Zealans but will be happy to reccommend some good breeders in whatever breeds I can. I am always more than happy to help anyone try to find what they are looking for.

To me, the best part of the hobby is the chance to travel all over and meet new people! The rabbits have allowed me to meet a lot of wonderful people. I have made some great friends through all my expeditions. It has kept me on the road now for 15 years. I would not trade a moment of it.

This fringe benefit has actually inspired me in a new area and that is the Student Foreign exchange program! I currently have 2 Wonderful young ladies staying with me. Bree, from France and Ane' from Brazil! These girls have enriched my life considerably! I love them dearly and they have me convinced that this is something I will probably always stay involved with! For Rabbit related pages, and my For Sale page...scroll down

In addition to my bunny "collection", both live and porcelain, I also collect movies. Which ends up costing me more then the feed for the rabbits....well almost. I enjoy most kinds of movies, my favorites are the comedies, action, and sappy love stories. I have over 1750 movies currently. I also enjoy reading, fantasy sci-fi.

~Follow your dreams for they will always
lead you in the right direction~

I have seen flowers grow in stoney places

And kindness done by men with ugly faces
And the gold cup won by the worst horse at the races
So I trust too.

A Smile

Costs nothing but owes much.

It enriches those who receive,

without making poorer those who give.

It takes but a moment,

but the memory of it some times lasts forever.

None is so rich or mighty

that he can get along without it.
And none is so poor
but that he can be made rich by it.

A smile creates happiness in the home,

fosters good will in the business,
and is the counter sign of friendship.

It brings rest to the weary,

cheer to the discouraged,
sunshine to the sad,
and it is nature's best antidote for trouble.

Yet it cannot be bought,

begged,
borrowed,
or stolen,
for it is something that is of no value to anyone
until it is given away.

Some people are too tired to give you a smile.

Give them one of yours,
as none needs a smile so much
as he who has no more to give.
