Parker Pictures, Old and New

Now, we are inside our home in PA; and in particular, Parker is in a room he should NOT be in.  This is the room downstairs, which we designated as the "Study".  You will note the chair and table and wires on the right and the computer printer behind Parker.  We don't like for him to play in this room, because he tends to mess up paper and things.  We put a gate in the doorway to keep him out.  (He looks kind of smug, doesn't he, like he just got away with something.)  However, one interesting thing about Parker being in the "Study" is when he sees the framed picture of his three cousins from Washington (State), he stares at it as if he knows them.  It is rather cute.

And now, Parker is standing next to said printer, thinking of some nefarious scheme to ruin it.  The purplish-bluish thing in front of the printer is the paper guide, which keeps sheets pressed against the back of the printer.  To Parker, it is a neat little toy that slides in and out and can be removed with force.  Needless to say, we don't like him playing with it.  Also, on the other side of the room is Tamara's piano.  He loves to play on it, hitting those white keys randomly and making a noise which resembles music only in his own head.  It's a joy to listen to Tamara playing a Beethoven piece, while Parker sits on her lap and playing some sort of improvisational jazz piece.  Oh, is good ole Ludwig rolling in his grave????

Parker is sitting in his Director's Chair in our home.  He is playing Patty-cake with Tamara (who is on the left), or was he showing us nothing was in his hands?  Anyway, he really likes his chair, especially when it is time to eat.  When Parker learned that we feed him in his chair sometimes, he will grab it and bring it to us when he is hungry.  It is cute to see, but it is rather too Pavlovian for me, sometimes.

And this is Parker's other chair, featuring Pooh Bear.  Parker doesn't sit in this chair as much as he does in his Director's Chair (both came from my Dad, and he should be happy Parker uses one of these chairs for sitting).  Actually, he uses Pooh Chair for holding things like his Duplo Blocks and bibs and shoes (when they aren't on his feet).  He also uses it for climbing and falling off backwards and upside-down.  This is one of those rare moments he is using it for its intended purpose, and it was all caught on film!

And, you always have to include a bath picture, when you have taken one.  Parker really loves the bath.  He loves the splashing, the floating toys, the Rubber Ducky, and the water pouring out of the faucet.  Here, he is sporting a wonderful Mohawk hairstyle, which should give his family and fellow church-goers a heart attack, especially if it stayed.  The white stuff on his forehead and on his ear is not old age but only shampoo suds (if you were curious).
