Lost in a childhood dream

Lost in a childhood dream state
                             	you can’t even see straight
                            So immature, helpless, irresponsible.
                                	I want to help you
                        		But nobody can,
                             			only you.
You’re an adult on the outside,
still so young on the inside.
                             The drugs you trust
                                	those beautiful chemicals
that take you into their arms
                                    and soothe you
                             are betraying you,
                                 changing you,
                                    controlling you.
                            It’s a trap, can’t you see?
                            You haven’t done anything
                                 but party.
What are you going to do
                             when the party’s over?
