Question –

Reversed Page of Cups.

What does these mean? What is the message?

Answer -

Typically, a reversed card will mean "less" of a card's upright meaning, especially in circumstances where the deck you are using does not have a specifically assigned "reversed meaning". In a court card, this can mean "lesser" of a trait or, if the card represents a person, then a person's darker/disturbed side or a person who is not of their natural or good intent.

In a reading where there are to be no "reversed" cards or in a deck where "reversed" meanings are not addressed -- which would make the condition of the card a surprise or unexpected -- i would suggest that the card has an especially important meaning in the reading, though perhaps not one which might be "reversed" from its original meaning.

In the Rider Waite deck, the Page of Cups card reversed could mean an inability to meditate, an inability to find introspection, or a crafty person who is ordinarily studious. Otherwise, i would refer you to the book which typically comes with many decks.

In a single card reading, i would advise attempting to see the Page of Cups first as a trait rather than a person unless, of course, there is an obvious person who fits that description. In a multiple card reading, I recommend looking at the surrounding cards, especially any cards which might relate to the past, for clues concerning whether this card is a person or traits/aspects.
