The Keeshonded Temperment

The keeshonded is gregarious, friendly, outgoing, and occasionally given to blustering. Normally the keeshonden reserves his blustering for times when he is incredibly happy- like when greeting his master. The keeshonden does this by getting up on his hind legs and blustering. The keeshond is a wonderful guard dog and is often a "one-man" dog. He is a dog of good nature and does not give up easily. He has a high level of self-respect. He also has the potential to be very stubborn.
