Yes, Bikes!!
Ed and I enjoy bike riding. Not motorcycle riding,
Us and our Bikes!
Lincoln Prairie Trail
Tunnel Hill Trail
The Katy Trail!
we're talking about the pedal pushing kind!
When we ride, we often go anywhere from 20 to 50 miles.
Below is a link to a page of us with our bikes!
and just so you won't be disappointed, I'll tell ya now;
No, they aren't the super expensive road bikes.
They are just comfort bikes. (Schwinn Sierra)
We especially enjoy riding these bikes on the
Lincoln Prairie Trail! Below is a link to it!
It's a paved bike trail that stretches from
Pana to Taylorville ~ about 15 miles one way.
We usually ride this trail several times each year.
Sometimes we even start from home,
making it a 50 mile round trip!
There is also a trail that goes from
Mattoon to Charleston ~ about 12 miles one way.
It's a limestone trail, not a paved one though.
but unfortunately, I don't have a link to it.
Another trail in Illinois that we have enjoyed riding
is the Tunnel Hill Trail, down in Southern Illinois.
It's another limestone bike trail and it
stretches from Karnak to Harrisburg ~ or about 49 miles one way.
We have covered this trail both ways and hope to do so, again!
This is a link I just have to share!
This is the Katy Trail in Missouri!!
We FINALLY rode this trail from end-to-end!
(Ed's blog about the ride is linked below)
The trail stretches from Clinton, Missouri to St. Charles, Missouri.
It's about 225 miles one way.
Our next goal is to ride it out and back again!
