   - She died on 16 Feb 1930, in San Francisco, CA.
   - She was buried at Odd Fellows Cemetery, in Los Angeles, CA.
   
5. Emelia (or Emilia) Francis Vogel was born on 6 Feb 1855, in St. Louis, St. Louis Co., MO.

Notes:

• The "History of the Vogel Family from 1818 to 1973" is the only real source I have for this family, and may be somewhat inaccurate. I am currently looking into more primary sources to try to verify or disprove what is listed in this source.
• It seems odd to me that if Friederich and Francisca were from Baden, in the southwest part of Germany, they would have gone to Berlin, in central Germany, to get married. This is certainly something to look into.
• A family story says that the Vogels came to America twice: first around 1852, headed for New York. Due to a cholera epidemic, they turned back for Germany, but their ship was attacked by English pirates on the way back. Undeterred by this incident, they came back later, but went to New Orleans this time. To date, I have not been able to find any ship records for this family. I am also interested in the English pirate story, which seems fishy to me. The year is likely inaccurate, as Mary Vogel was born in MO in 1851.
• It seems like Francisca Vogel was probably born before 1851, and likely died before 1852.
• I have not been able to find a place of burial for Friedrich or Emelia. My best guess is that they may be buried somewhere on the family farm, and their graves may not be marked.

- He married Mary Magdalene ZIEGELMEYER on 9 Nov 1885, in Arnold, Jefferson Co., MO.
