This is a special weekend and you will be WELCOME! In 1988 Dr. Forest Newsome and his wife Rita booked a shelter at Jacobbson park in Lexington, KY. Then ask a few friends to join them and to pass the word that any one from the Wheelwright area was invited.

The word got around to about 200 for the first picnic and the event has grown since to as many as 700 coming as far away at the State of Washington.
 

 
 

The picnic is the only must attend event but the party starts on the Thursday before Memorial day with golf and setting around the Shoneys Inn pool waiting for the next arrival by Friday afternoon the whole complex is full of old friends and laughter.
