Carleigh
finished her Novice Agility title on June 20, 1999. After training for
a year, it seemed as if we'd never get our first leg. On June 5 and 6,
in Hendersonville, NC, Carleigh got her first two legs scoring a perfect
100 points both days and receiving a 1st and 2nd place ribbon for her efforts!
She also performed well enough to get one leg in Novice A Jumpers With
Weaves and received another 2nd place ribbon! Two weeks later, we went
back to North Carolina (Asheville) and she finished
her Novice Agility title in style! Another perfect score of 100 and another
2nd place ribbon! I'm so proud of Carleigh! She's done admirably considering
that she is missing her right eye! It complicates our course strategy at
times, but if you didn't know she was missing the eye you certainly couldn't
tell by watching her run the agility course!
Carleigh
is now Ballochmyle's You're So Vain, CGC, NA,She finished
her Novice Jumper's title on April 19, 2000 at the Papillon National Specialty
in Knoxville. The trial was held at Agility
Center of East Tenn.
Carleigh has completed both of her Open Agility Titles (OA & OAJ). Carleigh has difficulty being fast enough to compete in the Regular Excellent Agility classes so we have elected to start all over in the new "Preferred" classes. These classes allow 5 extra seconds on the standard course time as well as allowing the dogs to jump 4" lower than the regular jump height so that Carleigh now jumps 20" instead of 24". She finished her Novice titles (NAP & NJP) very quickly and just as quickly finished her OJP. She lacks one qualifying run to complete her OAP title and will be competing in the Excellent Preferred classes soon.
