David H. Worsham b. 27 May 1817. Robert Terry Everett found his birth in the obit. of David Worsham:
"David Worsham died at his home on Sunday last, October 12th 1884 after a long and painful sickness, continuing about six months. The deceased b in Virginia, May 27th, 1817, hence he 66 years, 4 months and 15 days old. He had lived in this county for about thirty-two years, and had amassed quite a fortune, which he leaves to his twelve surviving children. His wife died in February last, having reached a good old age. The two now lay side by side near the orchard on the old homestead. Ten of the children were present at his death and funeral, and had kindly cared for him to the very last. He was conscious up to death, and talked freely with those about him, realizing his approaching end. His children had gathered from far and near to be with him in his last hours, two coming from California and the far west. His funeral was preached by Rev. S. Carothers on Monday afternoon to a large circle of relatives and friends at the residence, after which all that was mortal of this aged father was laid to rest, awaiting the call of a merciful and just God. S."
Robert Terry Everett believes there were more children, as their were several graves with stones on the Washam farm in Holt Co. David and Susannah were two of them, however, there is no sign of this graveyard now, the folks in the county know where it was. Susannah had a large grave stone & farmers must have plowed over old gravesites. Since David had 12 children surviving Robert believed there are 3 missing from the book, two were passed down in family records, Jim and Emma Washam. (Robert Terry Everett, 2000)
A daughter of David Washam (Jr.) by the name of Ester wrote about "grandfather David coming back to Mound City, MO. It also states that there were 12 children from David senior and David junior was the 7th."(Gail Washam, 2000)
