1. Alanson Randolph Washam b 1822 of Randolph Co., GA md Emily 4 Jan 1844 Cuthbert, Randolph Co., GA. Descendants lived in Randolph Co., GA; Angelina Co., TX; Ellis Co., TX; Coryell Co., TX; Lamar Co., TX; Dallas Co., TX; Union Parish, LA. Emily (picture) was born 20 May 1823, she died 13 Apr 1905 and is buried in Cannan Cem., Lockhart, Union Parish, LA. She had twelve children.

Alanson’s father could be Josiah Worsham who is in the 1840 Randolph Co, GA census index (page 252). However, reviewing the census, the name is very difficult to read. It appears it may be Mrs. Jacob or Sarah Worsham, family menmbers were males one 5-10 yrs (possibly Jeremiah L. Washam), one 10-15 yrs (unknown), one 15-20 yrs (possibly Alanson Randolf Washam); females one under 5 yrs (possibly Ann Washam), one 10-15 yrs (possibly Nancy C. Washam), & one 40-50 yrs old (mother).

A possible sister, Nancy C. Worsham md. Henry Senn, 9 Jan 1851, in Randolf Co, GA, by John Taylor, minister. They are in the 1860 Union Pa, LA cens (p.509), as Henry Sinn 35 M Farmer SC; N. C. Sinn 30 F Housekeeper GA; Jno W. Sinn 8 M GA; Geo. W. Sinn 7 M GA; J.L. Sinn 5 M GA; T.C. Sinn 2 M LA

In the Biography of Alenson Randolph Washam, by Helen K. Evans, she mentions that Alanson had a brother, named Jeff L. Worsham. This may be the Jeremiah Worsham on page 593 of the Worsham and Washam Family History.

If Jeremiah L. Worsham is a sibling, then Ann Washam is also be a sibling of Alenson. A 1913 letter from J. L. Washam from the Texas Confederate Home, Austin, TX mentions a sister Ann.

1.5. Captain Rutherford P. Washam born 8 Feb 1852 Randolph Co, GA and died 11 Mar 1937 Union Pa, LA. He was the sixth child of Alanson Randolf Washam and Emily Jackson Simms. He married Sarah Frances Speigemer, born 22 Jun 1859 and she died 20 Jul 1936. Rutherford and Sarah had four children. Both are buried in the Spigener Washam Cem., Linnville, Union Pa., LA. On the marriage license dated 23 Dec 1857, it stated Priscilla was d/o D. W. Tucker & Henry to Pine Bluff from Pontotoc Co., MS. Their marriage was published in the Dollar Democrat (Oxford & Coffeeville, MS) in "Marriages & Deaths from MS Newspapers, Vol, 1837-1863" by Betty Couch Willshire, Heritage Books, Inc., Bowie, MD, 1987, pg 71 which stated, "Md on 22 Jan 1858 by Rev. A. R. Winfield at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. Henry B. Worsham (late of Pontotoc, MS) to Miss Priscilla dau of Dr. W. Tucker all of Pine Bluff, AR."

They are in the 1860 Jefferson Co., AR Census, p 786 town of Pine Bluff. He is H. B. Worsham age 29 Merchant with $3,000 Real Estate & $10,000 Personal Effects b TN. Priscilla is listed as P. W. Worsham age 19 b Ark.

He published a newspaper in Pine Bluff during the Civil War (Woody Worsham, 2000) According to family researcher Woody Worsham, 2000 Henry B. published a newspaper in Pine Bluff during the Civil War. He is in the 1870 Pine Bluff, Jefferson Co., AR Census, p 34 age 39 clerk in store with $4000 real estate & $100 personal effects b TN with children: Sallie age 11, Gertrude age 8, & Wood age 7. According to family researcher Clay Dedman, 2000, Henry B. Worsham married 2^nd) Mary Iva Tucker Mar 1869. The 1870 Census has John Tucker, age 5, but not Mary. In the 1870 Jefferson Co, AR mortality cens, is Iva Worsham age 22 NC, d. Mar, Pneumonia. Children of Priscilla:
