Preheat oven to 180ºc (350ºf). Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and essence's. Fold through chocolate chips, and add sifted dry ingredients and mix well. Drop teaspoonfuls onto UNGREASED trays. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the edges are lightly brown. Cool for 1 minute before completely cooling on wire racks.
