Combine all ingredients together in a large bowl. Beat with en electric mixer on low speed until well combined. Increase speed to high and beat for a further 3minutes. Pour into a greased and lined 9inch round tin. Bake for about 60 minutes at 180ºc (350ºf). Stand for a couple of minutes before removing from tin. Ice with orange icing when cold.
Mix until light and fluffy. Tint with orange food colouring if you wish.
