Anderson Cemetery, located off Island Road on Barger Hollow road. There are 8 or 10 graves marked with broken deteriorated stones. The legible ones are:


"The Grave of" Isabella wife of James J. Hughes; Born Feb. 19, 1800 Died Oct. 9, 1854

"The Grave of" Fannie R. 2nd wife of Jas. J. Hughes; Born Oct 6, 1824 Died July 4, 1874, "Gone but not forgotten."

"In Memory of" John Anderson who was born on the 9th day of Feb. 1765 and Died on the 17th day of Nov. 1850

"In Memory of" Rachel Anderson; Born Jan. 31, 1809; Died July 7, 1892, Age 83 yrs., 5 mo., 6 day,. "She lived for others, She died trusting in Christ."

"In Memory of" Samuel L. Anderson; Born March 22, 1828; Died April 7, 1856

Maggie Hughes wife of J. A. Mongle; Born Oct. 22, 1862; Died June 25, 1893

"In Memory of" James J. Hughes; Born Sept. 2, 1806; died June 21, 1890 "Gone but not forgotten."
