Alex got his second set of jags in early April - and took a bad cold that evening, there followed a couple of restless days, but Vicks Baby Balsam was our saviour! to help the poor wee boy breathe more clearly.
Grandma S came to visit for the weekend and we got out and about with the pram and went for a trip to Livingston where we entered Alex into a beautiful baby contest - you can judge for yourself but to us he will always be a winner in our book!
On Good Friday Mummy and Alex went to the open air Church service - a joint service between all the Churches in South East Edinburgh held at Safeway - it was a lovely day and a really good service.
This was also the month that Alex went on his first holiday - to Peebles Rosetta Caravan Park with Mummy and Grandma J (Grandad J and Daddy were working so it was just the 3 of us). Peebles is a lovely town in the Scottish Borders (about 25 minutes drive from home so not too far away). The weather was lovely. Alex saw some ducks up close and enjoyed getting out for lots of walks in the pram. Auntie Kirsteen (Alex's Godmother) came to spend the day with us as she lives nearby - it was good fun.
Toys such as rattles, little books, a stripey multi-colour zebra have started to be really interesting and Alex is wanting to turn the pages of books when ever anyone shows them to him. He is now also a lot more interested in our pet goldfish and we feed them together every morning. His favourite rattles came from Toys R' Us.
Alex is holding his head up much better now and has now figured out how to squeal - just for fun. He is also very dribbly and keeps putting his hands in his mouth a lot now. He is gurgling and babbling away - to anyone and everyone and he now also smiles a lot (but trying to catch is on camera is hard!)
Daddy takes Alex out in the pram for a walk - mostly to Inch Park but around the area - they both enjoy their time together.
