On 3rd Oct Alex took part in the Harvest Festival at church and then visited Grandad J for his 65th birthday.
Up to now Alex has been making lots of little noises, the most recognisable being Mum-Mum and ba-ba (we think he is refering to himself). He has only said Dada a few times and never when Dave has been around unfortunately! But Alex's latest recognisable word is 'dog dog'. This is due to spending time with Grandma and Grandad J who were looking after a friend (Sarah & Sam's) dog - George and after relentless patting from Alex poor George was being called every 2 minutes.
The other big achievement of October is crawling. For a while Alex has been up on his hands and knees and rocking back and forward, or laying down on the floor and wriggling his hands and feet but not getting anywhere - we are sure that being with other more mobile babies at Nursery has really made the difference.
We visited Mummy's friend Lee and Kevin in Stirling and enjoyed playing with Kevin's shoes! (Alex loves shoes and is enthralled by shoelaces!)
Grandma Savage came up to visit and although the weather was not great had a lovely time. She came along to Jo Jingles with Mummy and Alex and enjoyed the singing and dancing.
Alex went to a birthday party - for Michael his friend who was 1 - Alex and Michael had a lovely time playing with all of Michael's new presents.
Alex celebrated Halloween wearing a little outfit sent by Auntie Lyndsey - 'my little pumpkin'.
