SEPTEMBER 2004
1st of September was Alex's first proper day at nursery.  At nursery each baby has a diary and here is what was written about Alex's 1st day:

"Alex played happily on the floor with rattles and musical toys, friends Rose, Duncan, Nathaniel and Dougal.  Wet nappy, slept 12.15 - 1300, refused milk.  Sweet potatoe casserole and yoghurt for lunch - with a small drink of water.  1oz of milk, wet nappy".

Alex was officitally welcomed to nursery in the September nursery newsletter which was nice.

Mummy started her new part-time job as a Postgraduate Secretary in the Graduate School of Social & Political Studies at the University of Edinburgh and found the job to be reasonably interesting and the people in the office very nice.

Alex seemed to be settling in well at nursery and the 3 of us adjusted to our new rountine.  Alex is in nursery 2 mornings a week and the in the afternoons Daddy looks after him while Mummy is at work.

This month seemed to be the month for catching bugs and poor Alex had gastroenteritis which was horrible experience for all of us, but especially our wee boy.

Alex had his first visit to the Dentist on 24 September who pronounced his teeth fine so far. Alex happily let the dentist look in his mouth which I was very surprised about!

On 27th September Alex went to Jo Jingles - a music fun for babies class - for the first time.  He really enjoyed it - they sang songs, played maracas, waved streamers and watched bubbles.
