John CABE (b. 1799 NC) , his wife, Sarah (b. 1802 GA), and 4 children moved from Tennessee to Washington Co., AR in 1844. Their Tennessee born children were: Sarah (b. 1835 TN), James (b. 1837 TN), Thomas Jefferson (b. 1838), John M. (b. 1842 TN). Their youngest son, Samuel, was born 1844 in Arkansas.
Sarah (b. 1835 TN) married John Wilson in 1850, then John Neal in 1851.
James (b. 1837 TN) married Manerva Ingram in 1856, then Virginia Brown in 1861. James was a blacksmith and served in the Arkansas State Militia during the Civil War.
Thomas Jefferson (b. 1838 , Carroll Co. TN) married Christian Elizabeth Lewis in 1858. They had 8 children: Sarah E., Dorthulia, Mollie, Ladona, Minnie Bell, John, James and Tommy. Christian Elizabeth died near Booneville, AR in 1887. In 1901, Thomas Jefferson CABE married Martha Ratliff Crane in Indian Territory (later Oklahoma). Thomas Jefferson CABE died in 1926 and is buried near Peggs, OK.
In 1860, John and Sarah CABE and their youngest son, Samuel, were living in Franklin Co., AR.
John and Sarah sold land in Franklin Co., AR in 1863. There have been no further records found that name Sarah (b. 1802 GA), John M. (b. 1842 TN) or Samuel (b. 1844 AR). Presumably, Sarah died between the years 1863-1871, because the next record of John CABE (b. 1799 NC) is his marriage in 1871 in Washington Co., AR to Sarah E. Cox. He is listed on that record as 75 years old.
